CHARITY COMMISSION
FOR ENGLAND AND WALES
PH Media Group Foundation
Trustees, Annual Report for the period: 0110112023 to 3111212023
Charity registration number: 1150920
Objectives and Activities
The objective of PH Media Group Foundation (the Charty) is to benefit the public by
supporting charits'es (or organisations that further a Charitable purpose or purposes) whose
aims include.. the relief or prevention of poverty., the relief of those in financial need, hardship
or distress,. the relief of sickness or disease,. and at the discretion of the trustees to further
such other charitable purpose or purposes (charitable under english law) as Ihey see frt from
time to time.
In setting the objectives and activities of the Charity the trustees have given regard to the
Charity Commission guidance on public benefit.
Achievements and Performance
In the year the Charity made payments of £27k to national and local charities in the UK. The
beneficiaries included the British Red Cross, CALM, Creative Opportunities, Bare Ne￿sSIt18S
Toiletry Bank, Redwood School and Home Start Know51ey. These charities were nominated
by PHMG staff and reflect the Charity's aim of benefiting a broad range of causes across
society as a whole.
The Charity's principal source of funds are Please Hold Media Group {PHMG) and the
Company's staff who were responsible for the £74k of donations in the year.
Financial Review
The Charity collected donations in the year of £74k and made payments of £27k resulting in
surplus of £47k. The surplus for the period has been added to the brought forward reserves
of £127k. At the year end the Charity held cash funds of £173k.
The Charity does not have a reserves policy as the intention of the Charity is to distribute all
receipts in line with the stated objectives. The balance of £173k held at the end of the reporting
period arises from the timing of receipts and payments, and will be fully distributed in
subsequent accounting periods. At the signing date of this report the Charity had made
payments to other charities in 2024 of £100k reducing the surplus cash held.
The Charity does not face any uncertainty regarding its going concern status. The Charity has
no material costs, therefore the reserve balance held would be sufficient to sustain the
ctivities of the Charity for a period of at least 12 months from the daté of this report.
