Objectives and a¢tlvitles
The objectwe of the Charty is Ihe advancement of the ChrBtian faith through the proviS￿)n of free
down[0adab￿ Bib￿ story images, for the benefft of the public, for use in teaCh￿g the Bible in hornes.
schools, churches and communibes around the workl.
Our aciwittes in¢hJde the cr8alwM of Mages (either ph0tc9raph￿ or ilustrat*)n) offline which are
then loaded ¢Mto a website. We also encourage Chri81ian artists and organisations to donate to the
project sets of Bil)le story images they have created. They choose a Creative Commons ficence
under which we can distribute them for free use in teaching or define their own terms of download to
protect their images from abuse and gwe copyrvJhl cover where needed. We have 58 contributing
Christian artists and organisat*)ns witt) more beiig added each year.
There are typ￿alty 10 to 30 images St￿Y. P60ple gk)baty are able to access the website and
freety downbad stories or images and use them in teaching. The irna9es can aL80 be projected INe
from the site in slKltrshow v￿W from phones, tsblets, or computers to Larger screens via Bluetooth
or other airpLay technok)J￿s.
Maln activities durlng the year
2023 has been a very busy year with 139 new Bble story sets of images added to the English site.
The Chinese site has seen a growth of 26010 and we added 98 new sets in Simpbfied Chinese. A
further 23 sets were added lo the Arab￿ site by a new a Christian translator in Egypt. Wrth the help
volunteer translators, we added 78 new sets to the Spantsh site. 42 to the Portuguese stte and 36 to
the Polish site.
A kst of time and resources was ￿veSted ￿ creating a new sile in Hindi wh￿h launched with over
700 translated Bib￿ story sets in Octcl)er. We were greaty asststed in this task by AbhiLish and
Merlin James, a Christian ¢ou* from India INing in Redhill.
David GosneN devekjped a dynamic worklkjw to create downk)ads on demand and added the
caption text to the notes sectwjn of downhjaded Keynote and PowerPotiit fdes. He ako dev8bped an
in-line HTML VKleo pL8yer and VKleo filler, so h'nked vijeos now p￿Y on our site. We embedded the
re￿vant video segmenl Inks wrth start and end points to all Ihe LUMO ￿'b￿ story videos on
YouTube. These vKleos just show the segments for the Bible references of that story and users
can choose to have narralton for the account in the NIV, IUV and NLT versions. Embedded vKleos
play in the new HTML VKleo player deveksFed on the FreeBib￿mages webstte rather than show the
YouTube inlerface. However, the videos play from Youtube and add to the ststistics for the
channels who host there. The v￿e0S for Bibk Pathway Adventures, Sue Bentley and the Australiqn
Bible Society are now embedded ￿ this way. The 109 sets from Gocd News PrtsJuctM)ns have
VKleos of each story in over 40 languag8S.
We were able to I￿ense images from the LUMO fikn The Covenanv and hav6 the option lo license
images from the Acts of the Wstles, currenty being shot ￿ mor￿co. We obtained 3D
reconstruction graphics of Herod's Ternp￿ and the Tabernacle from Jeremy Parkes of Bible
scenes and also lrnmerswe History. ExFerienced Bib￿ cartographer DavKI Barett gave us the use
of over 130 Bible Map5. In December we got an agreement to US8 the luStrat￿nS created by
VKleoBible.com.

We welcomed new contr￿ul¥n9 artists Wlem de Vink W&m (Netherlands), Kersth ter Veen
{Germany), coral￿ Leue {USA), Smart Art for KKES {Sk)veniq), Ewurakua Ghansah (Ghanal, David
and Hilary Ker (Kenya), Philip Marttii (UK) and Carotyn Dyk (Bebiuml.
In October we ran a fvnd raising Bib￿ Quiz wh￿h provNJed some initial fijnding for a stte in French.
The Qurz is now onh'ne for others to use as a fiJndrai8ing tool. Further Statis￿ and informatk)n i8
found on the pages that foknv.
Voluntoèrs
We have 16 volunteers using our online tranSla￿n FQrtal to translate our sIor￿S into French,
German, Telugu, Hindi, Arab￿, Chinese, SpanK%h and Portuguese. In 2022 we were abk to develop
an online workfknv kn speed up the creation of translated Bible story tttle S￿jes.
Public benefit
The Trustees have compled with the duty to have due regard to the Wb1￿ benefft guhjance
publtshed by the Charty Commisshjn.

God willing, our main f(￿uS ￿ 2024 VA be to devek)p translated websites in French and

Flnan¢lal Review
In 2023, income reduced by £13,500 compared to 2022, whle total expenditure fell by £2,800. The
overall resLtIt for the year was a defictt of income over expenditure of £8,900. The Charty ended
the year with £36,600 in general reserves and £2.000 in reststed fijnds.
ReseNes Policy
The Charty aims to hobj free reserves not less than £14.000. wh￿h would be suffrient to cover
forthcoming expendilure for 6 months. It has a bank baLgnce that is regulaty reviewed by the
trustees. and year on year the income broadty matches expenditure. The Charty's general
reserves have decreased over the year but remain above the target.

Governing do¢vments
The company's governing documents are the Memorandum arKI Artic￿$ of A8socigtK¢n dated 20
March 2012, and the Governing Trustee Document dated 30 January 2013.
Governance
The company is controled by its Govern￿g Trustee tk¢ument and the Memorandum and Artic18S
of Association, and ks limited by guarantee. as defined by the CoMpan￿S Act 2006.
The company was incorporated on 20th March 2012.
The policy and operating decish?ns of the charty rest with the Trustees, who are also directors for
the purposes of company law. They meet reguLgdy to monitor the actwitss ol the company.
Paul and Gill Thompson resNJned as Trustees in 2018 when it was agreed to pay Paul to lead the
work of sourcing, creati)n and formatting new contenL Paul continues to attend Trustee meetings
as an advtsor but takes no part in deCis￿n-Maklng. Because of his prom#ient rok in Ihe company's
acIN￿e$, Paul is sffi regi8tered as a Director of the company. as i8 GAI.

Procedure for appointlng Trustees
Trustees are apponted for a temi of 3 years by resdulK)n passed at a speckal meeting in
accordance with the provish)ns of the Governlig Trustee Document.

Charty law requires us as Directors to prepare financial ststements for each accounting year which
give a true and fair view of the slate of the charty and of its income and expendtiure for the year. In
