## Evangel Sidmouth _**Holmdale Chapel, Holmdale, Sidmouth EX10 8DG**_ ## **South West Pentecostal Alliance - Trustees Annual Report to March 2024** We the trustees submit an accurate description of our charitable activities during the year, together with a full set of accounts and an independent examiners statement. Believing unerringly in the inspiration and infallibility of the Scriptures, South West Pentecostal Alliance has continually sought to advance the Christian faith in Sidmouth, throughout the UK and overseas, providing sound Biblical teaching and Christian fellowship. Following the building work both physical, in the renovation and extension of Holmdale Chapel and spiritual, in the establishment of a second fellowship in Paignton, the past twelve months have represented a period of relative stability. Barring a few minor ‘snagging’ issues, the building work in Sidmouth is nearing completion and the Trustees are also pleased to report that a ‘resident’ Pastor has been identified who is willing to lead the Paignton fellowship with effect from the end of the present calendar year. This in turn should free up time and resources in 2025 to pursue other opportunities for the advancement of the Gospel. We are also pleased to report the success of a number of activities during the past year in support to the ‘Body of Christ’ and other ministries with which we have some association. The South West Bible Week once again proved to be most successful and was a time of blessing for those that attended. The charity continues to work in association with other trusted Christian ministries such as Christian Ministerial Fellowship International (CMFI), Prophetic Witness Ministry International (PWMI) and the associates of these organisations. Being that the charity’s Chairman also sits on the governing council of CMFI and is registered as an approved speaker/teacher for PWMI, frequent and numerous invitations were, and continue to be received by the charity to minister in a number of fellowship meetings both across the UK and overseas. We are delighted to have been invited to Guernsey to minister in a week long evangelical ‘All Island Outreach’ to which every islander has received an invitation, and we look forward to reporting on this event in the future. Plans to visit Northern Ireland and West Africa are also in hand, all of which provides a good indication that the charity continues to function effectively in its objective for the furtherance of the Christian faith both at home and further afield. 1 Subsequent to 7[th] October 2023, the charity has also been pleased to support Christian ministries in Israel during the most challenging of times in that country. We continue to provide regular support to Aviv Ministry through association with Prayer For Israel (PFI) and PFI was well represented at the South West Bible Week 2023. We are also much blessed by our support of Christian Friends of Magen David Adom UK (CFMDA UK), the emergency services in Israel. We will be hosting meetings for CFMDA UK in both fellowships, Sidmouth and Paignton, and also at South West Bible Week 2024. Responsibllltles and Basls of Report As the Charity Trustees of the Trus( you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act.). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust'5 accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act Independent Examinerfs Statement I have completed my examination. I confirni that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respett 1. accounting records were not kept in respert of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Art or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records,. or 3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the forni and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
