Trustees Annual Report
We the trustees submit an accurate description of our charitable activities during the year, together with a full set of accounts and an independent examiners statement.
Believing unerringly in the inspiration and infallibility of the Scriptures, South West Pentecostal Alliance has continually sought to advance the Christian faith in Sidmouth, throughout the UK and overseas, with sound Biblical teaching.
Evangel Church Sidmouth maintains a solid home base for the ministry from which teachers are sent to speak with numerous church groups and organisations throughout the region, up and down the country and across the world and the Trustees have been greatly encouraged by strong growth at home in Sidmouth. However, in regard to the work further afield, during the past year there has been a greater reliance on the recording ministry and distribution of teachings via the internet and on CD. This is due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has at times, curtailed the ability to meet in person. This also caused the suspension of the South West Bible Week.
Continuing to work in association with such groups as Prayer for Israel and Christian Ministerial Fellowship International, the charity also supports ministries overseas, in Israel and Africa. Once again, a significant donation was made to an orphanage school in Kenya, although no personal overseas visits were able to be made. Closer to home and should COVID restrictions begin to ease in the forthcoming year, the Trustees have identified strong opportunities to support the furtherance of the Christian gospel in the Torbay area and work is currently underway to establish an organisational structure there. This will come under the umbrella of the charity and firmly meets its objectives.
