Report of the Trustees
The tfustees present their annual rewrt together with the financial statements of CCC. Castle
of Peace Parish (the charity) for the year ended 31 December 2023. The Trustees confirm
that the annual report and financial statements of the charity comply with the current statutory
requiremènts, the requirements of the charity's governing document and the provisions of the
Statement of Recommended Prartice {SORPI "Accounting and Reporting by Charibes"
issued in March 2005.
CCC. Castle of Peace Parish is a charity 2nd the Trustees of the charity exercise control.
The organisalion's principal obje¢ts continue to be-.
1. To advance Christian religion by propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ and
proclaiming the Kingdom of God through preaching the word of God
2. To advance such other charitable purposes as the Trustees shall determine
particularty, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, by relieving
distress caused by disaster, poverty and sickness
3. The advancement of Christian religion by the worship of God, the prcclamation of the
Hoty Spirit and the Fellowship of Mankind.

Statement of Trustees. Responsibilities
The Charrties Acl requires the Board of Trustees to prepa￿ financial statements for each
ffinancial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity as at the end
of the financial year and of the surplus or deficit of the cha¥ity. In preparing those financial
statements the Board is required to.
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them conslstently",
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent., and
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless il is
inappropriate lo presurne that the charity will continue in business.

The Trustees are also responsible for maintaining adequate accounting records which
disclose with reasonable accuracy al any time the financial position of the charity and which

the financial statements comply with regulations made under the Charities Act. They are also
responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hen￿ for taking reasonable steps
for the prevention and delectson of fraud and other irregularities.
The tmstees are also responsible for the contents of the truste88' report, and the
responsibility of the independent examiner in relation to the trustees, report is limited lo
examining the report and ensuring that, on the face of the ieport. there are no inconsistencies
with the figures disclosed in the financial statements.

I report on the financial statements of the Chaiity on for the year ended 31 December 2023,
which are set out on pages 5 to 9.
RgSPeCtivg responsibilitigs of tru$t••s and examiner
The Charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements. The
trustees are satisfied that the audit requirement of Secbon 14411} of the Charities Act 2011
{the Act) does not apply, and that there is no requirement in the governing document or
constitution of the Charity for the conducting of an audit. As a consequence, the trustees have
elected that the financial statements be subject to independent examination.
Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit, and is eligible for independent
examinatson. it is my responsibility lo..
a) examine the accounts under section 145 of the Art.
bl lo follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act,. and.,

Basls of opinion and scope of work undgrtaken
I conducted my examination in o¢cordgnce with the General Directions given by the Charity
Commissioners for England & Wales in relation to the conducting of an independent
examination, referred to above. An independent examinatvn Includes a fftview of the
accounting records kept by the Charity and of the accounting Systems employed by the
Charity and a comparison of the financial statements presented with those records, It also
ineludes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the financia1 statements and
seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning such matters. The Purpose of the
examination is lo establish as far as possible that there have been no breaches of the
Charities legislation and that the financial statements comply with the SORP, on a test ba51S,
of evidence relevant to the amounts and disclosLtres in the financial statements.
