Objective:
The objective of the charity remains as follows:

1) disadvantage living in the south Indian state of Kerala.

2) repatriation of deceased to home country

3) To advance, improve, develop, and maintain health and saving lives; and

4) for the general purposes of charitable bodies in the UK or in India, or for such other purposes as shall be exclusively charitable as the trustees may from time to time decide.
Activities:
The activities of the charity have been resumed to pre-covid levels and all the trustees were active in rendering the services of the charity, especially when it was most necessary.

An overview of the activities of the charity for the year 2023 is given below
1. Nimya Mathews Appeal
In December 2022, BMCF issued an appeal to help the bereaved family of Mrs. Nimya Mathews. I t was a tragic news to the whole community when Nimya Mathew fell ill and died while working at East Sussex, Bexhill on Sea hospital on 27[th] November 2022. She joined her new job as sta� nurse only nine months ago and left behind her husband and 3 years old son. Nimya was su�ering from critical illness and her health condition deteriorated leading to the sudden death. She was only 34 years old.
issued an appeal to public to help support this family. The appeal was accepted whole heartly by the public and a total fund of £ 29,223.86 had been raised. The charity was able to distribute an amount of £29225.00 to the family of Nimya Mathew.

2. Sabari Nath Appeal
Mr. Sabari Nath has diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome and was admitted to Royal Victoria Hospital. He was a first-year Biomedical science student. The family was financially struggling and approached the charity for financial assistance. Charity has issued a public appeal to help him. The appeal was well accepted, and the charity could distribute an amount of £17700.00 to his family

3. Anju Thomas Appeal
Anju was under treatment for brain tumour and was recovering while she passed away leaving her husband and children left behind. She was only 34 and was working in the healthcare sector. Charity raised £5800.00 to help the bereaved family.

4. Ramakrishna Panicker Appeal
Ramakrishna Panicker was in Visiting his daughter in the UK, when he died. An appeal was made to help the family to meet the cost of funeral and other expenses. The appeal has raised £4000.00

5. Gopinath Muthukad DAC Appeal
Gopinath Muthukad is a renowned magician who runs an Art Centre for di�erently abled children named Di�erent Art Centre. The centre support many di�erently abled children including those with autism. Charity has decided to run appeal to support this noble institution. Charity has collected £23000.00, This fund was distributed in 2024

6. Abbymon Thomas Appeal
Abbymon is a chronic Kidney patient who required Kidney transplant. His treatment was expensive, and his family was struggling to find fund for his treatment. Charity was able to provide him with £16100.00

7. Bobin Cherian Appeal
Bobin passed away due to a heart attack amidst his ongoing struggle with cancer. It was not too long after the family came to UK. His family was financially struggling. An appeal was raised to help this family, and the charity was able to help this family with £12000.00

8. Divya Sijo Appeal
Divya was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia within one year of coming to UK for a better job and life. She has two young children, and the family was going through very tough time. They have approached the charity for help and support. The charity has raised an appeal and could provide the family with financial aid of £18000.00

Annual General Meeting and Current Trustees
The annual general meeting of the trustees and members of the charity is held online through zoom meeting on 16/12/2023, marking the 12th anniversary of the charity. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/12/2023
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
