But we could not have done this without the hard work of our dedicated team of volunteers and staff who have committed their time and effort into making thi5 an outstanding Centre for all ages to come get Involved in. Our activities range from cooking lessons lo gardening, woodwork, crafts, crochet and so much more. We have waiting lists for OUT activrties and you can also sign up to our membership which gives you extra beneffts like first refusal to tripslso¢ial events. We have an over 50's luncheon club and a food hub which supplies a pay as you feel supermarket and monthly f¢)od parlS that helps out anyone in the area. We also work alongside other services Barnardos (children and families Newcastle East) and Foundation futures. Now with all the New Builds regeneration happening on our door step and new funding It is onward5 and upwards, we are looking forward to lols of new and exciting projects in the future. The board confimi that they have complled with tho duty in section 4 of the Charitles act 2006 to have due regard to the Charity Commissions general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the alms and objectives and in planning the future activrties. The balance of funds is made up of unrestricted funds of £68,923, designated fjjnds of £58,096 and restritd funds of £31,079. Reserves Pottery Bank Communty Centre has maintained a good level of free reserves over the years currently there are £68,923 free reserves to meet the working capiial requirements of the charity in the event of a significant drop in funding. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT Govemin documents The organisation is a charitable company limit by guarantee, incorporated on th8 10 March 2003 and amended by special resolution to allow for current governance on 7 October 2003, 30 October 201 and 12 April 2007. intment of Trus The directors of the company are also charity Irustees for the purpose of charity law and under the company's Articles are known as members of Ihe Council of Management. The council is made up of volunteers who are all members of the company elected by the membership at Annual General Meeting and $8Jve for a period of three years retiring by rotation. A retiring trustee is eligible for re- election. The council may from time to time and at any time appoint any member of the company as a member of the Council, either to fill a casual vacancy or by way of addition lo the Council, provided that the prescribed maximum be not thereby exceeded. Any m8mber so appointed shall retain his Offi only until the next Annual General Meeling, but he shall then be eligible for re-election.
