Activities

Omushana, Sunshine for Children aims to enhance lives of children in the villages around the mountain gorilla reserves in SW Uganda by improving their educational opportunities, welfare, confidence and quality of life. To date, Omushana has constructed a community Library & IT Training Centre, assisted more than 10 schools, children's groups, a vocational institute and football academy club.

Objects: To Advance In Life, Encourage And Help Young People Living In The Villages Around The Mountain Gorilla Reserves Of South-West Uganda (Including Those Situated Away From Tourist Centres) Through Provision Of, And Assisting In The Provision Of, Equipment And Facilities Which Will Enhance Their Educational And Leisure Time Opportunities And Through Assistance To Projects And Activities Which Will Relieve Poverty And Financial Hardship.to Advance The Education Of The Public Regarding The Importance Of The Natural Environment And The Contribution That Local Nature Conservation Projects (In Particular The Mountain Gorilla Reserves) Make To The Well-Being Of Local Communities.
