Review of the Year to December 2023 The PCC has met 6 times during the year. with 1 Extra Meeting as rnent￿>ned below. The PCC operates through a series of sub-commtttees (listed above) each of which rt back to lull PCC meetings. In addits.on trj the finance an¢J general business of the PCC, the following topics have been discussed: 1. We adopted the safeguarding polry slatement 'Promoting a Safer Church. (House of Bishops 2017) at the PCC Meeting in Spring 2023. and this is revwed annually. The ststement confims that all people who work in the Church ag￿e to abide by the P)l￿e$, rBcOmm￿dations and guKlelines estab15shed by the Church. 2. Our APCM was held in Church on April 23rt 2023 following the Sunday SeNice. 3. The Quinquennial Insp￿On was carried out by our archrtecvsurveyor OavKI Barker from ARH Archttects, based in Huddersfield in January 2023 An Extra PCC meeting was held in March to discuss the running of the Communty Centre 5. Discussion about receiving Comrnunion in both kinds and this then started in August A number of the congregation stsrted attending a monthly Promoting Growth and Leadership course in Bradl￿￿ whKh runs for 6 months Financlal r•view Totsl receipts on ordinary unrestricted funds were £32M3 and afe detsiled in the financial statements. In addrtion receipts on restiicted fabric funds were £803 and £8.746 of general funds were designated for tab￿ purposes. Restricted Communty Centre funds were £39.085. £32,920 was spent to provide the Christian ministy from St Phdip's Church, induding 41Yo of our COntr￿Ution to the Diocesan Parish Share), whith largely Pfovides the sttpends and housing for the dergy. The balance d £27.100 in the Community Centre Fund relates largely to the 'sinking fijnd (£2S.7991 which is being held to fund future major repairs to the Communty Centre, c £2.500 OF this w511 be expended in 2023 to cover costs relating to intemal decoration of the centre. The PCC has agreed that were wssible 10% of annual Communtty Centre income will be placed into this fund in future years. £1,301 of the over￿1 amount is 5pecffically for use in maintaining the Communtty Defibrillator. The balance of £2,145 in the Bart￿ Bequest Fund is held to hdp fund both the maintenance of the Church graveyardIg￿unds and the equipment required for any such maintenants. 13
