## **FAB Projects Annual Report 2023** Food, Aid & Building Projects - Reg. Charity Number 508111 This report highlights FAB Projects’ activities in 2023 and contains an overview of our finances for the period. ## **Statement of the Trustees** _All of us at FAB are very thankful for the determined support of our fans and followers. It goes without saying that the work we have carried out could not have been achieved if it were not for the kind support of our donors. FAB and thousands of Kenyans today and tomorrow offer the most heartfelt thanks to you all._ _FAB was first envisioned in 2009 when two men, who met in Kenya, were touched by the lives and hardships experienced by ordinary Kenyan people. By 2010 we had dreamt up the brand ‘FAB Projects’ which represented our goals to ensure the provision of Food and water via short-term Aid and longterm Building Projects and we went on to raise funds and gained official UK registration by 2013._ _It has never been our intention to become a large charity, rather staying focussed on helping those communities we had visited throughout Kenya and making contributions only when and where we truly believed in the solution. Provision of water quickly became a key issue to us as the apparent lack of it in many locations destroyed the foundations for further sustainable development._ _We have kept in touch with all our project sites and are committed to offering ongoing support to those communities. Our short-term ambition is to keep focus on the communities we have assisted so far and be prepared to support them in future with the maintenance of any projects we have completed there._ _I am pleased to report that nearly 15 years later, the projects we have undertaken are still in good order and most importantly have delivered a lasting benefit to our community partners. In some cases, this is health related, in many cases the provision of water simply reduces the cost to schools who otherwise purchase water using already limited funds. Often schools needed to seek financial support from parents of the children attending.
