1 Accounting Policies The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with applicable Accounting Standards in the United Kingdom and with the statement of Recommended Practice ' Accounting by Charities' (SORP 2005) issued in March 2005. The principal accounting policies adopted in preparation of the financial statements are as follows
Basis of accounting
The financial statements have been prepared on the historical cost basis of accounting.

Thses are funds which can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees
Restricted funds
These are funds which can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the Chairity Restrictions arise when specified by

Depreciation
Depreciation is calculated on fixed assets to write down their costs, less estimated
