Our main achievements are listed below:
We have continued our 12-Step groups but also kept on Zoom clas*s which have
b￿n well attended.
with this now being our thirtieth year, we continue to use many volunteers and sub-
contractors for our counselling clients. We have been able to help numerous people
in their recovery from addith.ons and impending struggle with mentsl health issues.
Sources of funding this year has agaln been on a declining trajectory, however, we ve
been able to manger our attivitles to keep them at the current levels.
We continue to develop our partnershlp with Selby St Mission, and they see this
partnership as a strategic development of their resources tr) the community and
therefore, have increased their funding towards helping us accommodate thi5 further
provision.
Our partnerships with existing colleges and universities in the north, have provided
trainee counsellors and now weve expanding our training to include doctorate
candidates from St Johns University York This helps provide low cost counselllng for
those on low incomes and many clients that received counselling from us have
benefitted from this endeavour.
We ve continued our partnership with First College from February 2023 to provlde
counsell ing for the HMRC and have just re￿iVed knowledge of increased partnership
for another two years.

Respectlve responslbllltles of trustees and examlner
The charivs trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees
consider that an audlt is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charltles Act 2011 (the
Charlties Act) and that an independent examinatlon is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under settion 145 of the Charities Act;
to ft)Ilow the procedures laid down in the General Directions glven by the Charty

Basls of Independent examinerfs report
My examination was carried out In accordan￿ with the General Directions given by the Charity

any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees
concerning any such matters. The pTh￿dUres undertaken do not provide all the eviden￿ that
would be required In an audiL and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view
given by the accounts.
Independent examiner's statement
In connection with my examinatlon, no matter has come to my attention.
(l) which gives me reasonable cau* to believe that in any material respect the requirements
