We want to provide a place that is safe for them to travel, socialise and once again be part of a familiar community they left behind when moving from Nepal to UK.

TSUK need an administrative office space to run daily business and to coordinate charity and community programme regularly, therefore we are focused to raise donation for a multipurpose, permanent and sustainable community centre.

During this reporting period, TSUK has organised various meetings, interaction, fundraising and community programmes for the benefit of the members and wider public as shown below;

TAMU SAMAJ UK'S WELCOME SONG, "SWAGAT GARCHAU ATITHI LAI," HAS BEEN TRANSFORMED INTO A MUSIC VIDEO. THE VIDEO WAS OFFICIALLY RELEASED ON YOUTUBE BY PRESIDENT SHIVAKUMAR GURUNG, CHIEF GUEST THE MAYOR OF BRENT COUNCIL, CLLR ORLEEN HYLTON, AND FOUNDER PRESIDENT CHITRA BHADUR GURUNG ON 6[TH] JANUARY 2024, DURING THE GURUNG NEW YEAR CELEBRATION.

The music video for our welcome song, initially composed in audio form many years ago, became a reality in 2023. This endeavour required extensive coordination with various departments in the City of London, and we successfully obtained the necessary filming permissions for our selected locations.

During the filming period, the artists dedicated numerous days to training and rehearsals, guided by choreographer Mrs Saru Gurung, the former cultural secretary of Tamu Samaj UK. This preparation was crucial to ensure that everything went smoothly on the shooting day. We arranged a variety of costumes and props for the participants, with Vice President Bindu Ghale managing these arrangements. Participants ranged from young children aged six to adults aged seventy, all proudly wearing traditional attire that beautifully showcased our culture.

President Shivakumar Gurung took the lead in coordinating with various departments in the City of London Boroughs to secure filming authorizations for the locations. After numerous location shoots, we faced a challenging editing process, which took many days and hours to finalize. The videographers worked hard, and editor Suman Shrestha, guided by Saru Gurung Rana and Shivakumar Gurung, ensured the video synced perfectly with the song.

We want to express our gratitude to our sponsors, who helped alleviate the financial burden on the community. Our sponsors include Everest Law Solicitors, Everest Cash and Carry South Harrow, Jay Shree Krishna Jewelry South Harrow, and A Star Financial Solutions UK. The sponsors were approached by Founder President Chitra Bahadur Gurung and Mrs. Saru Gurung, with the account managed by Treasurer Khem Bahadur Gurung.

Financial Budget: The community fund spent a total of £1,841.18 on essential expenses, excluding volunteer work. This amount covered the fees for the filming location application, insurance, and travel costs for the videographer on filming days. We received £825 in sponsorship from various generous shop owners, financial companies, and law firms. Therefore, our total expenditure from the community fund is £1,016.81. The chairperson of the mother group, Mr. Uma Devi Gurung, along with members Mrs. Maita Gurung and Mr. Suresh Ghale, generously provided food and beverages for the artists and crew members. Vice President Harka Bahadur Gurung and General Secretary Dharam Bal Gurung assisted with management tasks.

In conclusion, as the President of Tamu Samaj UK's I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the artists and volunteers who contributed to this project. I would especially like to thank our concept developer and founding President, Chitra Bahadur Gurung; lyricist Gurung; Customs Administrator and 6th Executive Committee Vice President, Bindu Ghale; Video Film Director, Saru Gurung Rana; Assistant Director, Miss Rana; and Videographer, Suman Shrestha. I sincerely appreciate all the members and volunteers for their unwavering support. Although not everyone's name is mentioned in this letter, your contributions have been invaluable. Without your assistance, this opportunity would not have been possible. Thank you all.

TAMU SAMAJ UK COMMITTEE AND MOTHER GROUP MEMBERS VISIT HOSPITALS, SEND WELL WISHES, AND PROVIDE SUPPORT TO MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES DURING BOTH HAPPY AND DIFFICULT TIMES BY VISITING THEIR HOMES.

The committee members of Tamu Samaj UK, along with the members of the mothers' group, have been actively involved in meaningful social work to support the community during both joyous and difficult times. They celebrate happy occasions such as weddings, the birth of a new baby, and graduations by extending their congratulations and best wishes. Conversely, they also support social well-being during challenging times, such as illness, the loss of a family member, and funerals.

In 2023 and 2024, Tamu Samaj UK experienced the loss of two-lifetime members and several family members in both the UK and Nepal. The community took charge of the funeral arrangements for the lifetime members, with the services held in London. Tamu Samaj UK is committed to preserving our religion and keeping our identity alive, even while abroad. We strive to perform our rituals and celebrate various Nepali festivals, which helps us maintain our religion, tradition, and culture.

All these activities align with the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit. Each event and initiative contributes to social cohesion within our community, fostering fundraising efforts, building networking partnerships, and celebrating Nepalese culture and integration in the UK.
