primary purpose of the charity is to
raise funds forthe benefit of the school
hildren, an anclllary benefit of the
evenls is creating lasting memories and
enjoyable experiences for the school
children. Some of the events are opèn to
tho wider community and bring the local

At the year end the charity held £15.7k
in the bank account and had agreed in
principle to spend funds for the
purchase of laptops but had not
com
leted b the end of the
ear.
The charity's poll¢y is to hold reserves
of approx. £5k which covers 1 year of
ongoing costs such as insurance as
well as enough money to plan and carry
out events for the first half of the year. If
the charity is raising funds for a specific
project there may be additional reserves
held at the year end while the total funds
are raised. The reserves retained are all
unrestricted funds.
At the year end there was £15.7k held-
of which £8.5k was spent in the first 2
months of the subse

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/08/2023. 

**Responsibilities and basis of report** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or 

- the accounts do not accord with the accounting records 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
