ThetrusteeswhoarealsodirectorsofthecharityforthepurposesoftheCompaniesAct2006,presenttheir report
withthefinancialstatementsofthecharityfortheyearended31January2023.Thetrusteeshaveadopted the
provisionsofAccountingandReportingbyCharities:StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicableto charities
preparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublic of
Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2015).

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Objectives and aims

TheCharity'saimistoadvanceeducationamongstchildrenandyoungpeopleprimarilybutnotexclusivelyin Kenya,
whichitdoesbycomingalongsideexistingschoolsandequippingthemwithbuildings,educational materials,
knowledgeand funding,and by providingfundingand assistancewith travelarrangementsto allow childrento attend
existingschoolsintheircommunity.TheCharityalsoaimstoworktowardsalleviatingpovertyintheareasin which
such schools are based by assistingwith the paymentof school fees to allow underprivilegedchildrento attend school
and receive not only an education but also a daily hot meal and the support of respected adults in the community.
The Charity'sobjectivesare to increasefundinglevels in order to providefurtherfinancialsupportto the communities
itworksin,andtocontinuetoprovideknowledge,assistanceandopportunitiestothoselivingwithin such
communities.TheCharityanticipatesmeetingtheseaimsbyraisingawarenessoftheCharityinorderto attract
financialsupportersintheUnitedKingdom,andbycontinuingtodeveloptherelationshipinplacewiththose people
who run the community projects in conjunction with the Charity.

Significant activities

The Charitycontinuesto pursue a community-focusedapproach,providingfundingand travel assistanceto children in
the communityto allow them to attendone of a number of schoolswe partnerwith and working with local families in
connectionwith a number of initiatives(such as distributingwater filters to families within the communityto allow for
clean water, working with women with HIV/AIDS, providing regular support to over 35 families within the community).
TheCharityhasdonatedsignificantfundsto"DoxaInternational",theKenyanCBO(CommunityBased Organisation)
that co-ordinatesthe work within the local community,to assist with variousprojectsand a significantchild education
programme.ThecharitycontinuestosupportDoxaInternationalinfarmingthetwoplotsoflandthathelp provide
food for the local community.

Public benefit

ThetrusteesconsiderthattheyhavecompliedwiththedutyregardingPublicBenefitasdetailedinsection4of the
Charities Act, having due regard to guidance published by the Charity Commission.

ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE

Charitable activities

Following the purchaseof the large plot within the communityof Kwa Murugi in January2022 by "Doxa  International",
we have begun to supportthe developmentof this site. In May 2022 a small team from the UK went to assist with the
renovationsofthedwellingsalreadyontheland.InNovember2022wefundedthebuildingofa Community
DevelopmentCentre(CDC)on theplot.Oneof ourTrustees,RayBalmer,was presentfor thedurationof thebuild to
ensure fundswere used appropriately.The buildwas largelycompletedby the end of January2023 and the work that
remainsistheinternaldecoration.TheTrusteesaresatisfiedthatfundsweredistributedwellandwerecognise the
huge benefit this new building will be to the community in the years to come.
Thetwofarmplotscontinuetobefarmed."DoxaInternational"havereceivedpermissiontoputaboreholeon the
landanditisplannedthatwewillassistwiththefundingofthisin3stages.Beginningwiththeinitialdrillingfor a
borehole in mid-2023. The borehole will provide regular water for the farm and well as the local community.
A number of the supporters of The Doxa Project have increased their monthly donationsmeaning that we are now  able
to help a further 3 children receive an education. We now have 68 children within the child sponsorship scheme.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

Reserves policy

Thetrusteesagreedthatinadditiontofundingschoolfeesforthesponsoredchildren,fundswouldbespentat the
appropriatetimeoncommunityprojects.InconjunctionwithourpartnersinKenya,"DoxaInternational",a monthly
budget continuesto be providedto enable the work in the communityto continue.The monthlyamountgifted by the
Charityto"DoxaInternational"wasusedforthingssuchasofficerentwithintheslum,monthlyfood parcels,
contributions to the wages of five "Doxa International" employees and other emergency needs.
As of 31st January2023,there are 68 childrenthathave their educationfundedby The Doxa Projectincluding15 that
arenowattendingsecondaryschool.Amonthlyamounttocoveralltheschoolfeesisnowsentoutto "Doxa
International" who oversee the progress of the children.

FUTURE PLANS

The building of a multi-purposecommunitycentre, to help educate and resource the wider local communityin areas of
leadership,adulttrainingandapprenticeshipsbeganin November2022andwill hopefullybe completedduring 2023.
This means thatby the beginningof 2024"DoxaInternational"can begin to utilisethe new building.The Doxa Project
alsoplanstoassistwiththerenovationofanotherbuildingontheplotwhichwillbecomeadiningroomfor the
breakfast club that meets 3 times a week before school.
WecontinuetobuildrelationshipswithotherorganisationsseekingtohelpcommunitieslikeKwaMurugi. Emerging
Leaders are an internationalorganisationthat work in Kenya and the trustees plan to work with them in due course to
bring training to the community.
It is plannedthatthe drillingof a boreholewill commencein 2023andthe furtherstagesto completethisproject will
continue as the research is completed and funding obtained.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Governing document

TheCharityiscontrolledbyitsgoverningdocument,itsarticlesofassociation,andconstitutesalimited company,
limited by guarantee, as defined by the Companies Act 2006.

Recruitment and appointment of new trustees

New trustees are appointedby the existing trustees and serve until required by the articles of association("Articles") to
retireandstandforreappointment.ThearticlesoftheCharityprovideforaminimumof3trustees.Trustees recruit
newtrusteesonthebasisoftheirexperience,theirempathytowardstheCharity'saimsandtheirwillingnessto act.
Trustees also consider the skills of potentialnew trustees and how those skills would benefit the Charity as a whole (for
example,a potentialnew trusteewho has previouslymanagedthe constructionof educationalfacilitiesabroad would
have valuable insight relevant to the Charity's aims).
TheinductionprocessfornewtrusteesinvolvesaninitialmeetingwiththeChairmanoftheboardwhoprovides the
new trusteewith relevantinformationregardingthe historyand backgroundpertainingto the Charityand its  projects,
followed by a separatemeeting with all trustees who are availableto answer any questionsthe new trustee may  have.
New trusteesare given as muchwritteninformationrelatingto the Charityas possible,including:(a) a briefhistory of
the Charity;(b) informationaboutthe Charity'scurrentproject(s);(c) copies of minutes of recent trustee meetings; (d)
a copy of the Articles;(e) copies of the Charity'sCommission'sguidancepapers "The EssentialTrustee: What You Need
toKnow,WhatYouNeedToDo"and"CharityTrustee:What'sInvolved";and(f)copiesofthepreviousyears' annual
reports and accounts.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Organisational structure

Trusteesmeetregularlyandatleast,asawholegroup,3timesayear.Attrusteemeetingsthetrustees agree
immediateandlong-termstrategyandconsidercurrentareasofactivity.Thisinvolvesconsiderationof current
fundinglevels,anticipateduseoffunds,recentandproposedfundraisingefforts,anyimmediateneedsraised in
connectionwiththeCharity'scurrentproject(s)andriskmanagementconcerns,policiesandprocedures. Trustees
makedecisionstogetheronamajoritybasis,butdodelegatethedaytodayadministrationoftheCharity'sfunds to
the Chairmanas andwhere neededgiven thatan immediateandpressingneed for fundscan ariseat anytime of day
or night(suchas for breakdownexpensesin relationto the vehiclemaintainedby "DoxaInternational".Where funds
are required at short notice, the Chairman informs all trustees in writing as soon as reasonablypracticable(ideally prior
to but sometimes after the transfer of such funds).

Risk management

ThetrusteeshaveconsideredthemajorriskstowhichtheCharityisexposedandhavereviewedthoserisks and
establishedsystemsandproceduresto managethoserisks.The majoroperationalriskto theCharityis theextent to
which the funds sent abroad to be applied towards specific costs are indeed applied towards meeting those costs. The
trusteesmanagethisriskby maintainingregular(atleastdailyandmore oftenthannotmultipletimesa day) contact
withtherecipientofthefundstransfer,whoistaskedwithreportingpurchasesandpaymentsmadewith funds
supplied by the Charity to the trustees and providingreceipts and confirmationof purchase as and where possible. The
trustees also require sight of the book keeping records maintainedby "Doxa International"to check amounts spent. In
addition,the trusteeswork to ensure that a representativeof the Charity(a trusteeor, failingthat,a person known to
thetrustees)visitsatleasttwiceeachyearinordertochecktheaccountingrecordsandprojectprogress, amongst
other things.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of The Doxa Project Limited ('the Company')

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 January 2023.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity'strusteesof the Company(andalsoits directorsfor the purposesof companylaw)youare responsible
for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act').
Having satisfied myself that the accountsof the Company are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006 Act
andareeligibleforindependentexamination,Ireportinrespectofmyexaminationofyourcharity'saccounts as
carried out under Section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 ('the 2011 Act'). In carrying out my examinationI have  followed
the Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act.

Independent examiner's statement

Ihavecompletedmyexamination.Iconfirmthatnomattershavecometomyattentioninconnectionwith the
examination giving me cause to believe:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by Section 386 of the 2006 Act; or

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or

4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)).

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

The financialstatementsof the charitablecompany,whichis a publicbenefitentityunderFRS 102,have been
prepared in accordancewith the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accountingand Reportingby Charities:Statement of
RecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththe Financial
ReportingStandardapplicablein the UK and Republicof Ireland(FRS 102) (effective1 January2019)', Financial
ReportingStandard102 'The FinancialReportingStandardapplicablein the UK and Republicof Ireland'and the
Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
ThecharityhasappliedUpdateBulletin1aspublishedon2February2016anddoesnotincludeacash flow
statement on the grounds that it is applying FRS 102 Section 1A.
The presentational currency of these financial statements is pounds sterling (£), rounded to whole pounds.

Going concern

Thetrusteesconsiderthatnomaterialuncertaintiesrelatingtoeventsorconditionsthatmaycast significant
doubtuponthecharity'sabilitytocontinueasa goingconcernexist.Thereforethesefinancialstatements are
prepared on the going concern basis.

Financial instruments

is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.

Expenditure

Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructiveobligationcommitting the
charitytothatexpenditure,itisprobablethatatransferofeconomicbenefitswillberequiredin settlement
andtheamountoftheobligationcanbemeasuredreliably.Expenditureisaccountedforonanaccruals basis
andhasbeenclassifiedunderheadingsthataggregateallcostrelatedto thecategory.Wherecostscannot be
directlyattributedtoparticularheadingstheyhavebeenallocatedtoactivitiesonabasisconsistentwith the
use of resources.

Governance costs

Governance costs represent the administrative costs incurred by the Charity during the year.

Taxation

The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.

Fund accounting

Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restrictedfundscanonlybeusedforparticularrestrictedpurposeswithintheobjectsofthe charity.
Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.

Foreign currencies

Assetsandliabilitiesinforeigncurrenciesaretranslatedintosterlingattheratesofexchangerulingat the
balance sheet date.Transactionsin foreign currenciesare translatedinto sterling at the rate of exchange ruling
at the date of transaction. Exchange differences are taken into account in arriving at the operating result.
