**Objects:** THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH AND SAVING OF LIVES.WORKING TO REDUCE INFANT AND MATERNAL MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY IN ETHIOPIA BY ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF TRAINING COURSES, SUPPORT, EQUIPMENT AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR MIDWIVES, HEALTH EXTENSION WORKERS AND ALLIED HEALTH WORKERS.

**Activities:** OUR MAIN ACTIVITY IS TO PROVIDE BIANNUAL TRAINING COURSES FOR MIDWIVES AND RELATED HEALTH WORKERS AND TO WORK COLLABORATIVELY TO RAISE STANDARDS FOR WOMEN FRIENDLY MATERNITY CARE.WE FUNCTION VERY MUCH AS A PARTNERSHIP WITH ETHIOPIAN COLLEAGUES AND GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS TO ENSURE A CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE APPROACH.BY TRAINING MIDWIFERY LECTURERS WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE SUSTAINABILITY.
