The organisolion is a charitable company limtted by guarant*. incorporated on the 31 July
2012 and registered as a charity on Ihe 24 October 2012 with the Charty Commission of
England and Wales. The company was eslablished under a Memorandum of Association
which established Ihe objeds and powers of the charilable company and is govemed under
its Articles of Associalion.

Organisalional Structure
The charity is governed by a Board of TruSt￿S, thich detenmines Ihe overall direction of Ihe
charity and monitors the financial and charitable adivities of the charity. The Trustees have
delegated the day-to4ay running of the charity to the ExeculNe Director. The Executive Director
reports lo the Trusl*s. with a minimum of thr￿ TruSt￿S m￿lIngS a year.
Appoinlmenl of Trustees
Nomes of potential new Trustees are put forward lo the Executive Diredor and lo the existing
Trustees. Candidates are then inteDiiewed by Ihe Executive Diredor and at least one other
existing Trustee, final appointmenl is then agreed by all existing Truslees. A formal offer is
made, and acceptance also made in writing. The resolution provides for a minimum of three
Trustees.
Reserve's Policy
The Trustees set up o policy so Ihot os an orgonisolion, WiklTeom will hold unrestricted
reserves equal lo appro>imalely two monlhs of operolionol costs1£30,0001 in order lo prolecl
the charity from any fluctuation in income levels. This omounl is held in o seporole savings
account from the main operoling chority currenl accounl.
Risk management
As port of our orgonisotionol ond projecl rwnagemenl processes. WildTeam regularly reviews
and asses*s the risks faced by the charty in all areas of ils work and plans for Ihe
managemenl of Ihose risks. WildTeam conducts a full operational risk assessment onnvally.
This assessmenl idenlifies the main risks lo which Ihe charity is exposed, assessing bolh its
likelihood and impact, and developing preventative measures and miligoling action plans. The
Trustees will reporl on the mojor factors and risks oulside of the charity's control if Ihere is any
Ihol may affect achieving our objedives.

Where we came from
The UK charity was set up in 2012 and in linewrth the obove obpctNes, is tasked wilh building
capacity and skills in other con*Nationisls. The charity also supporls the work of our sisler
NGO WildTeam in Bangladesh through fvjndraising and technical advice.

Charitable activities
During 2021, we continued lo focus on: providing essential knowledge lo wildlife
conservationisls via our fr￿ best praclices in key consetvation subpds.. providing training in
those subjects,. and hosting an online communty for wildlife conservationists to share,
collaborate and conned wilh each other.
During 2021, a new best pradice monualwaswritten and published in Gront Wriling for Wildlife
Conservation IGWWCI. The crealion of other new besl pradices were olso almost
completed, Stakeholder Engagement for Wildlife Conserrfalion ISEWQ and Monitoring and
Evaluation for Wildlife Conservalbon IMEWQ.
We updated existing best practices lo new versions of Proiecl Man(NJemenl for Wildlife
Conservolion PMWCI to version 4 and Slrategy Developmenl for Wildlife Conservation ISDWCI
to version 2. This was done by reviewing current processes to see where improvements could
be made and colleding feedback from existing best pradice users.
All current versions of Ihe best praclices continue lo be freely available for anyone to download
via our websile. In 2021, there was a total 2.373 downloads of our besl pradices.
Our online training courses conlinued lo be very popular and we endeavoured lo provide an
accessible, friendly and engaging learning environment for participants around the world to
improve their conservalion skills and engage wilh each olher during the INe online training
sessions.
During 2021, successfully delNered 14 online Iraining courses in lolal, 8 in our mosl popular
subjecl - PMWC, 3 in SDWC. ond 3 in Ihe nev¥ty creoled GWWC. Two of Ihese courses were
leom training for 8rislol Zoological SocEty and The IUCN SSC Asion Species Aclion Partnership
IASAPI. The rest ofthe training cour*s were open lo anyone to sign up.
In 2021, 456 new Iraining cerlificales were issued, wlh 640 p￿pIe laking part in WildTeam
training courses (Not all trainees look the exom and some Irainees gained certification in two
different besl pradicesl. Trainees were from 65 differenl countries around Ihe world.

WildHub. a free. member-led. online global community of conservalion professionals which
was launched in 2020. continued lo grow and engage with its members. WildHub provides o
space lo exchange ideas. create new solulions. and make new partnerships lo enable better,
faster, and cheaper conseNation that helps s(we rTr)re wildlife.
In 2021, there were an additional 1,034 members and 213.000 content views. Of those
members 66% were aclive during 2021. Total member numbers at the end of 2021 stood at
2,350 members across 127 counlries, with 416,500 conlent views since its launch in March
2020 and 2,300 contenl items. Since July 2021. 100% of lolol conlent lopen<ommunityl is
organic Inon-commissionedl.
A second WlldHub festNal took place in 2021, 9 sessions implemented by an organising
committee of 30 members, participated by 140 people across 27 countries. To increase the
WildHub core community and member engagement in sharing knowledge, experiences, and
ideas to help olhers in their conservalion work WildHub recruiled and celebrated 5 core
community members, 3 Conservation creators, I Conservalion connector and I ConseNalion
Catalyst. Al Ihe ned of Ihe year, we sent oul a second end of year survey lo evaluole behaviour
results. 85% of respondenls sold thot WildHub provKled useful information in their conservolion
jobs. 89% of respondents said WildHub helped Ihem stoy connecled wilh other
conservotionisls. And 57% of respondenls sold WildHub helped Ihem come up wilh creative
ond novel solutions.
Our focus on consuhancy wos ogoin less this year, bul we did finish off some lechnicol support
to Environmental Invesligalion Agency IEIA). and projecl slrategic support lo Wildlife
Conservation Research Unit Iwildcrul UnNersty of Oxford. WildTeam UK conlinued to provide
lechnicol support and slrotegic a(fvice lo our sister organisation WildTeom in Banglodesh.
Fundraising ond marketing aclivilres
In 2021 we conlinued lo focus on generaling more of our income via delNery of ourlraining
courses and consultancy work lo reach a more sustainoble level and increase our financial
resilience. We achieved 64% of our own income during this Irne. We also conlinued lo secure
funding from major donors. We were successful in securing a granl from a chorilable family
trusl lo provide full bursories to UK based morine conseNationisls lo attend our training
courses.

Charitable adNities
Our main focus in 2022 will continue to be delNering our best practices via our online training
courses, increasing Ihe number of Iraining courses availab￿. WildTeam continually assesses
its learning approach and responds and adapls regularly to feedback on thal works well and
where improvements can be made, lo gNe Ihe train￿S Ihe besl possible leoming experience.
Al the beginning of 2022, we plan lo finolise the new best pradices in Slakeholder Engogemenl
for Wildlife Conservation ISEWCI and Moniloring and Evaluation for Wildlife Conservation
IMEWCI. We then plan to create new training courses in these subjects and delNer the first ones
during 2022. We will continue lo delNer training courses in Granl Writing for Wildlife
Conservation IGWWCI. As well as updaling the training course malerials for the updated
versions for Projed Managemenl for Wildlife ConseNalion IPMWCI ond Slralegy Development
for Wildlife Conserrfolion ISDWCI. We aim lo deliver opproximolely 20 training courses in 2022,
training 800 wldlife conseNolionisls.
We endeavour to keep tt)e price of attendance reasonable ond offer various discovnts. We
also encourage applications for our bursaies. A proportion of our bursary fund for each
workshop is ring-fenced for indNiduals from countries there capacity and access lo resources
is limiled, who are working on or sludying importanl wildlife conseNalion issues.
By the end of 2022, WildHub aims to.. Increase rrEmbers reoc￿ oiming for 3,550 members
across 140 counlries shoring 780 contenl tlems resulting in 150,000 page views.. WildHub has
celebrated 10 Core community members who significonlly contribuled conlenl in 2022..
Members collaborale by interoding on Ihe plorform through a lolal of 4.500 comments, Q&A
& conversations,. and aiming for 67% 01 end-of-year survey respondenls say WildHub hos
helped Ihem come up wilh creolNe ond novel solutions.
We have also secured funding for the slart of 2022. to recruil o Partnerships Engagemenl
Specialist to engage wilh polenlial partners from both conseNalion orgonisotions and
universilies Ihat provide wildlife conservalion degrees, Ihol may be interested in providing their
staff and studenls funded places on our Iraining courses. so as to increase our reach and Ihus

Fundraising activities

Our existing model will continue. locusing on bringing in our own income via delivery of our
charitable odivities mainly via our online training workshops, as well as fundraising from major
donors. We also plan lo submil grant applications to help provide funds so Ihal people can
take part in our training workshops. and lo fund crealion of new best pradices. Going fully
online wilh our training has supported our aim ofsuslainability and conservation impacl. The
trainer to trainee ratio is much higher so the same income can be achieved with fewer staff
and costs. We can provide a lol of Iroining with a small lea￿ reoching more conservalionists
around Ihe world. We also have plans to submil granl applications to fund the slaffing costs of
WildHub Iplafform provKler Zapnilo, kindly continue to provide the pbfform pro-bono to
WildTeaml.

The financial statements have b￿n prepared under Ihe historical cost convention wilh ilems
recognised al cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant nolelsl to these
accounts. The accounls have been prepared in accordance with the Slalement of
Recommended Praclice.. Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
IFRS1021 issued on 16 July 2014 and wilh the Charilies Ad 2011.
Fund occounling
Unrestricled funds comprise of accumulaled surpluses and deficits on generol funds. They
are avoilable for use ol the discretion oflhe Truslees in fiJrlheronce of the general objedNes
of the charity
Deslgnated funds are unreslrided funds eormarked by the Trusleesfor particular purposes.
