Objectives and activities The charity's objects are to advance the education of all the pupils in the school by: 1) developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school; and 2) engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

The trustees regularly review the charity's activities and keep in mind the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit, ensuring that projects and services deliver meaningful improvements for the school community.

The trustees confirm that they have had full regard to the Charity Commission's public benefit guidance when exercising their powers and duties.

Achievements and performance

Over the past year, the charity has run a varied and successful programme of fundraising activities, bringing together pupils, parents and the wider school community.

Highlights include the Summer fair, cake sale and Halloween Disco fundraising events undertaken during the year.

Ongoing income was generated by the sale of water bottles, T-Shirt and preloved uniform sales, and the recycling of clothes, CDs and DVDs.

As in previous years, the charity also continued to provide a committed level of funding to the school spread across the academic year which the school uses to enhance curriculum delivery and the school library, enhancing both the quality of learning and the richness of the wider educational environment.

These achievements reflect the commitment of the trustees, parents and community to ensure that every child at the school benefits from opportunities and resources that go beyond what statutory funding alone can provide.

Trustees’ report (continued) For the year ended 31 July 2025

Financial review

The charity raised funds from the various activities carried out and generated a gross income of £27,688. The charity spent £5,750 of its unrestricted funds on donations to the school for books, and tree planting and a further £1,659 in welcoming new pupils to the school by way of the provision of new starter books and supplies together with funding an Easter Egg hunt.

The unrestricted funds of the charity at the year end available for use towards future projects amounted to £48,347. The trustees consider the charity to be in sound financial position, with sufficient resources to meet its short-term commitments and to respond promptly to suitable funding opportunities for the benefit of the school. The financial position is reviewed regularly to ensure funds are used efficiently and effectively in line with the charity's objectives.

The trustees have also reviewed the level of cash reserves required by the charity and in their opinion the bulk of cash held should be applied to the development of the school as soon as an appropriate project arises. As the charity relies on income from fundraising activities, a minimum reserve is maintained to ensure that ongoing commitments to the school can be met. Furthermore, the trustees will only authorise expenditure if sufficient funds are available.

During the year, the charity did not hold funds in deficit, either during the financial period or at the balance sheet date. There are no uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue as a going concern.

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
