## your time, your impact - thank you for making a difference

Our organization leads a range of impactful programs designed to uplift and empower our community, but the true magic happens through the invaluable contributions and insights of our dedicated volunteers. They are the lifeblood of our initiatives, helping us to tailor our efforts so they resonate deeply with the needs of the people we serve. For instance, we may have a structured food drive program that aims to alleviate hunger, but it’s our volunteers, who actively participate and share their experiences that help us understand the unique challenges faced by families in our community. Their feedback allows us to adjust our approach, ensuring we not only provide food but also create a welcoming atmosphere where individuals feel valued and supported. Among our extraordinary volunteers is Peri, our youngest member, who has shattered expectations by raising an astounding £15,000 this year for our organization. Her passion for our mission is infectious, and her tireless efforts in fundraising demonstrate not just her commitment but also her belief in the potential of every child we serve. Peri inspires us all, proving that age is no barrier to making a significant impact, and her dedication is a shining example of how one individual can truly change lives.

## “NOURISH THEIR FUTURE END HUNGER WITH LOVE”

Hunger can affect people from all walks of life. But hunger doesn’t affect everyone equally - some groups like children and seniors are at much higher rate effecting health, development and wellbeing. The charity provided nourishment and support through

*Access to essential and nutritious cooked meals for individuals and families, supporting 260 families with brunch food boxes over the holiday period as well as warm lunches for youth throughout all holiday schemes

* Voucher scheme – providing beneficiaries including the elderly with the opportunity to choose and purchase their own food, allowing them to maintain their dignity and autonomy * Senior food hamper boxes delivered to pensioners.

* Throughout the year, we have provided thousands of warm, and nutritious meals to children and families, each plate filled with care and devotion. These meals not only brighten their days with delicious flavours, but they also nourish their bodies and spirits, empowering them to learn, grow, and thrive.

Through our partnership with the Felix Project, as well as the support from our volunteers, we were also able to rescue good food , fruits and vegetables from local wholesalers, restaurants and other from going to waste and distribute to local families in need making healthier food the easier choice for struggling families With every parcel we deliver and every family we uplift, we affirm our commitment to ensuring that no person should have to face hunger alone, transforming lives and restoring hope one meal at a time.

## “EMPOWERING FUTURES THROUGH SWIM: TRANSFORMING LIVES ONE STROKE AT A TIME!”

Over the past year, our vibrant swim programs at Mishon have not only achieved remarkable success but have also become a beacon of hope

for young participants from disadvantaged backgrounds who might never have had the chance to swim. Welcoming 100 enthusiastic children aged 8 to 13, we've not only taught them essential swimming techniques but have empowered many to master all four competitive strokes. This program stands as a heartfelt testament to our unwavering commitment to uplift youth and enhance their lives through accessible sports initiatives. By nurturing a passion for swimming, we are not just providing critical life skills; we are instilling a profound sense of confidence and resilience,

helping these young individuals dream bigger and embrace a brighter future, all from the transformative experience of being in the water.

## “EVERY CHILD’S SMILE - A HOLIDAY RIGHT”

Our holiday clubs were offered through all school holidays, offering Children and young people a wide range of activities and opportunities to socialize, learn and have fun in a safe environment. Creative activities, sports, health nutrition workshops and trips were offered allowing individuals to make new friends, develop skills and explore new interests and environments, encourage self expression and nurture talent. Acting as a Kitchen social hub, nourishing meals and healthy snacks were also provided throughout the holiday provision, ensuring children and young people have access to wholesome foods and do not face holiday hunger.

"STEP INTO NORMALCY: EVERY CHILD DESERVES DIGNITY!"

Our clothing drives are more than just distributions; they are lifelines that instil confidence and restore dignity in children and families facing financial hardships. With each pair of shoes and clothing item we provide, we offer them a chance to step into normalcy and feel just like their peers. In addition to our regular collection and distribution of brand new garments which we collect from retail stores, the charity were able to successfully distribute shoe vouchers to over 500 children/young people , enabling them to shop in local stores for shoes at heavily subsidised costs.

## "WARM HEARTS IN COLD TIMES: BRINGING HEAT TO THOSE IN NEED"

As winter cast its chilling grip, countless families faced crises and struggled to keep their homes warm, often forced to choose between heating their living spaces and providing for basic necessities. We stepped in to provide vital support, distributing gas and electric vouchers to those gripped by the energy crisis.

"IN THEIR DARKEST HOUR, WE BRING LIGHT"

At a time when hope seemed a distant memory, our crisis grants offered a lifeline to individuals battling profound challenges and facing immediate and severe hardships. Crisis grants were given in response to situations where individuals were unable to meet their urgent and essential needs due to unforeseen circumstances helping them to stabilize their situation and put them back on their feet. With support from the JAPH Charitable foundation ; additional support was provided to those with physical disabilities , empowering them towards a brighter future.

## "ESSENTIALS THAT EMPOWER: A FRESH START FOR EVERYONE"

In the past year, with the invaluable support of In Kind Direct, Mishon has ignited hope through our home essentials assist scheme, delivering life-changing items that transform houses into nurturing sanctuaries for disadvantaged families and children. We've provided not just cleaning supplies, but the essential building blocks of dignity and comfort—soaps, shampoos, toothbrushes, toilet paper, and other vital sanitary products—that ensure every home feels warm, safe, and cared for. Each item we distribute is not just a necessity; it’s a symbol of our commitment to empower these families, helping them reclaim their sense of belonging and well-being in an often challenging world.

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under the Charities Act 2022 (the 2022 Act)) and that an independent examination is needed.

An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. Independent examiner’s statement

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: (1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements

These estimates are based on the time and level of activity as appropriate. Governance costs are those incurred in connection with administration of the charity and compliance with constitutional and statutory requirements.

The irrecoverable element of VAT is included with the item of expense to which it relates.

- to keep accounting records in accordance with the 2022 Act; and · to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with
