Society incoma fiom all Sources showed a decrease from the previous year and w88 £279,337. This
decrease was largely due Ir> a reduction in Events incomè due to Covid-19 pand8mlc.

Thgse arisè from the agreement bat￿an the BES and Blackwell Publlshlng and are roYalt￿S on the lille
of the Internallon81 Endodonlic Journal. The expenses for th& Journal ara borne by the Publishers and thg
Society r￿gIve5 a don81ion of a share of the profits. Our donation rgcelved in the financial year
amounted to £195,286 which is an Increa￿ over the prevbous year 01 £62,524. Thls was a result of an
arror on behalf of the publisher when calculatlng costs. A one off adjuslmenl of the donatlon way
necessary lo account for thls error. The projected in¢omg lof the coming year wlll b8 In line ￿th that of
prgvlous years. The success of the Journal is founded on tha past ond present efforts ol tho 8ES, Ils
memb8rshlp and the edilorlal board.

part of 2021 is still very uncertain which led lo the decision nol lo hold the usual Spring Scientific Me8tlng
In M8rch 2021 bul lo comblne 11 wllh the Regional M8eting in October 2021 when it is expg¢tgd that the
situation In the UK bwll continue lo improve and il will ensure that any risks will be assessed and
approprfale action taken. This will form part of the Society's nomial risk management Processes. In
addition, Society expenses in 2021 have been reduced due lo most of the activity ol the Society In 2020
and 2021 being digital. Therefore Council considers il appropriat8 for the going concern basis to be
adoplgd for these accounts.
