**Objects:** TO PROMOTE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY WITHIN THE COUNTY OF ESSEX BY HOSTING AN ANNUAL PUBLIC EVENT TO SHOWCASE DIVERSITY, ENCOURAGE ACCEPTANCE AND CELEBRATE OUR DIFFERENCES IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHICH PROMOTES EQUALITY, RESPECT AND ENGAGEMENT WITH THE WIDER COMMUNITY AND AIMS TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, TO INFORM AND INFLUENCE PUBLIC POLICY IN ESSEX, AND WORK TOWARDS ELIMINATING DISCRIMINATION TOWARDS LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL AND TRANSGENDER (LGBT) PEOPLE IN ESSEX.

**Activities:** Essex Pride is an annual celebration of LGBT plus life in Essex and beyond. This is an event for the whole community, and pride inspires everyone to embrace equality and demonstrates that people from all walks of life can join together and celebrate diversity.
