The Trustees present their annual report together with the financial slatements of The lan & Natalie Livingslone
Charitable Trust for the year 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
The financial statements have been prepa￿￿ in accordance with the a¢￿UntIng policies sel out in note 2 to the
financial statements and comply the chariWs Trust Deed, the Charities Act 2011 and the relevant version of
the Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their financial statements in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applKable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021.
Objectivos and activities

The charity's objects are focused on the support of charities whose focuses are on children and disadvantaged
groups. There ha5 been no change In this during the year.
Public 8gnefit
In compliance with Section 17 of the Charities Act 2011. the chanty continued to support charities whose
focu5es are on children and disadvantaged gTOUPS. This was achieved through grants made lo various
inslilulions connected with Children's and youth's welfare as dixlosed In Note 4 to the financial slalements.
The Iru$tee$ have paid due regard lo guidance issued by Ihe Charity Commission in deciding what activities the
charty shoultj undertake.
11 is the policy of the Trustees lo make grants lo a vnde range of charitable bodies, focusing on children and
disadvantaged groups which are registered %wth the Charity Commission for England and Wales, or are exempl
charities within the meaning ol the Chanties Act 2011. Grant applicab.ons of up lo £250,000 wll be considered
and may be made towards revenue, ¢apital or project expenditure.
Applications from individuals seeking personal support will not be considered.

During the year, the chanty continued its support of young Londoners and other disadvantaged group charities
by making major grants awarded to Chabad Jewish of £50,000 and Lrtue Village HQ of £121.500. Total grants

a. Going concern
The charity's total funds were in defiat by £1,84612024'. £107,875), which is covered by future donations from
lan Livingstone. After making enquiries, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity has
adequate re50urce5 to continue in operational existence and meet ils liabilities as they fall due for the
foreseeable future. This spans a period of al least Iwelve month5 from the dale these financial 5talement5 were
approved. Accordingly. they continue to adopt the going ￿nCeM basis in p￿paring the financial statements.

b. Reserves policy
It is the policy of the charty that unrestricted funds have not been designated for a specific use should be
maintained at a level equivalent to ￿ month's expenditure. The trustees consider that reserves at this level wll
ensure that, in the event of a significant drop in funding, they wll be able lo continue the charity's current
activities while consideration 15 given to Vfdys in which additsonal fund5 may be raised. Al 31 March 2025 the
reserves amount was a defi¢i( of £1.846. The Trustees are aware that the reserves al the reporbng date do not
meet the Criteria of the reseNes policy. Ho￿Ver. the Trusteees are of the opinion that they wll maintain the
required level of reserved in luture years.

The Iruslees have assessed the major risks to vthich the chanty is exposed, and are satisfied that 5y5tems are

The charity's income is made up primarily of donations and gfft aid daims.

The Iruslees, investment powers are unrestricted.

Training of the trustees, is undertaken on an infomal basis. Each new Trustee upon his or her first appointment

law in addition to their proper conduct.

Monetary amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.

The financial statements have been p￿pared in accordanee with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021
Accounting and Reporting by Charrties." Slalement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities
preparing their financial ststements in accordance wth the Financial Reporb'ng Standard applicable
in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102112nd Edition. effective January 20191 I'charities

2.4 Expendituro
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic
benefit to a third party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in
settlement and the amount of the obligab.on can be measured reliably. Expenditure is classified by
activity. The costs ol each activity are made up of the total of direct costs and shared costs.
including support costs involved in undertaking each activty. Direct costs attributable to a single
activity are allocated directty to that activity. Shared costs which contribute to more than one activity
and support costs which are not attn"butable to a single activity are apportioned be￿een those
activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the
basis of lime spent. and dep￿￿atrOn charges allocated on the ptsrtion ol the asset's use.
Expenditure on charitable adivitie$ is incurred on dire¢lly undertaking the activrties which fvrther the
charitls objectives. as well as any associated support costs.
Grants payable are charged in the year vknen the offer is made except in those eases where the

Financial assets measured at Cost and amortised cost are assessed al the end of each reporting
period for objective evidence of impaiment. If objective ewdence of impairment is found, an
impairment loss is recognised in the statement of financial activities.

difference between the asset's carrying amount and the best estimate of the amount the charity
would receive lor the asset if rt were to be sold at the reporting date.
For financial assets measured at amortised cost. the Impalm￿nt loss 1$ measured as the difference

the asset's original effective interest rate. If the financial asset ha5 a variable interest rate, the

was recognised. the impairment is reversed. The reversal is such that the current carrying amount

2.9 Fund a¢¢ounting
General funds are unrestricted fijnds %thich are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees in
furtherance of the general objectives of the charity and vthich have not been designated for other
purposes.
Restricted funds are funds which are to be used in accordance Vdith specffic restrictions imposed by
donors or which have been raised by the charity for parb'cular purposes. The costs of raising and
administering such funds are charged against the specific fijnd. The aim and use of each restricted
fund 15 set out in the notes lo the financial slatemenls. The Charity had no restricted funds for the
penod under review.

Hasmonean High school. to support cenlres of educational excellence serving the Orthodox Je￿A$h
Community of North-west London.
Belt Halochem UK, lo support them in their mission to remain devoted to raising awareness and funds for
Israel's wounded veterans and victims of terror.
The Royal Academy of Arts to help preserve the RA collection and support their education and leaming
programs.
Unrted Synagogue to support its goal of serving the British Jewsh community by the provision of critical
infra51ruclure and programmes.
The Jacob Foundation to assist them in continuing lo operate news ouuets that serve the Jewsh
Community.
Chabad JevAsh to allow them lo provide their wde range of charitable programs, such as providing
support for individuals in need and lunding Jewsh education.
Litue Village HQ. lo help make a d[ffe￿nCe to families babies and young children living in poverty
across London.
The Chicken Soup Shelter. to help support families and irKlividuals struggling with Povety. hunger, and
