Summary ofthe main
activities undertaken for the
public benefit in relation to
these objects {include within
this section the statutory
declaration that trustee5 have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit)
JPCA is committed to enabling as many people as possible to make use
of and benefit from the community centre, which JPCA manage and
maintain on behalf of Bracknell Forest Council. It also provides a
resource for building and supporting the growing development of
Jennett's Park and Wykery Copse.
JPCA fulfills these obligations through hiring the community centre for
regular hirers that provide classes of a leisure and educational purpose,
these classes are open to the whole community. These cover a wide and
varied range of activities for babies, children and adults, and through
various special one-off events, subsidised by the association for the
cohesion of the local community and Gentre users. Alongside this, the
association provides the ability for the centre to be hired for private
events, such as birthday parties, family celebrations, business meetings
and local council, policing, voluntary and public surgeries.
In addition, JPCA works in partnership with local organisations to provide
a centre of information, support, and guidance to local residents.

Jennett's Park Communty Centre is staffed by volunteers and one
employee. The role of Centre Administrator includes all booking and
administration tasks, as well as centre management,. unlocking and
locking for private hirers.
JPCA would like to Ihank all our volunteers for their commitment, hard
work and giving up their time to assist the rLJnning of the centre and
associalion.
Section D
Achievements and performance
The last 12 months have seen a slight improvement but income from
regular hirers has not returned lo previous levels. We said goodbye to
one of our long standing groups- Baby Sensory- this year. We did see
the start of two new exercise classes under the BFC Public Health
Programme- Fil For All.
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
Occasional weekend hire remains as popular as ever, with bookings
being made for most weekends. The Community Centre continues to be
one of the mosl popular 'community' venues for hire in the Bracknell
Forest area - despite new cenlres recently opening. This is in part due to
the hard work of our Centre Adminislrator, Lindsey Mellor. We continue
to use LemonBooking as our hire booking system.
We held our yearly panlo again this year and we had a full audience. A
great lime was had by all. We also re-introduced a community table top
sale and a Christmas market event for local business. Both events went
well and we hope to continue them in 2025
Utility costs, insurance, salaries, etc all increased over this reporting
period and these increases have an effect on running costs. We
increased the hourl hire rates of our occasional hirers this
ear. Rates

Section D
Achievements and performance
had not been increased since the centre opened in Nov 2011.
Aside from the regular and occasional hire, the Bracknell Forest lottery
remains as one of our revenue sources, although not currently supported
as well as it has been in previous years.
Following lengthy and difficult negotiations wilh Thames Valley Poli￿,
the Police Point was handed back to JPCA in November, following the
end of their ten year lease. The room was decorated and Convèrted to
an officelcommrttee room.
Section E
Financial review
It is JPCA'S policy to maintain a balance of unrestricted funds lif
possible), which equates to at least 12 months basic operating costs, Ihis
would include utilities, insurance, cleaning, waste disposal,
telecommunications, basic marketing, invoicing and booking systems.
This is equivalent lo around £20,000 taking into account reduced usage.
This is a worst-case scenario with no hire income. The balants of
£18,100 from 2024's finances falls just short of this requirement. There
will be a focus in 2025 to reduce costs if possible and increase revenue
by new groups and an increase to regular hire charges.
