2. Objectives and Actlvlties
To advance, educate and increase the apprwation of musiG by the public. spectfically
orchestral and instrumental music. by means of educational con￿rtS and workshops for
children of school age and the provision and presentstton of concerts of orchestral music for the
general public_
In the year Aug 191 2023_ July 31# 2024 a total of 19 concerts were performed- either as SPM
promotions or in partnership wtth other charitable organisatKJns.
The Trustees have met once in the 202>2024 year and have had regard to the guidan
issued by the Charty Commission on public benefiL
3. Flnancial review
The Charity's reserves are held as cash, currenty deposited wrth Bardays Bank. The opening
balance of total cash assets as at Aug 1# 2023 was £36.828.31 and the closing balance on July
31* 2024 was £40,475.53. There was a 'net' increase in reserves during the year Aug 23- July
24 of £3.647.22 (largety due to increased Gift Aid received and an advance fee payment).
The Charity aims to maintain SLfficient reseryes to prevent ¢ash-flow dtfficutties within a conGert
S8ason and to develop further activib.es according to its Charitable aims.

The charity's Tntstees are responsible for the weparation of the accounts.
The charity's Trustees consider that an audbt is not required for this year under se¢tion 144 of
the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independènt examination is needed.
It is my responsibilty to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions grven by the Charity
Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and
to stat8 whether particular matters have come to my attention
Basis of independent examlnerfs statemont
My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examinalion indudes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity
and a comparison of the accounts presented with these records. It also includes consideration
of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts. and seekn"n9 explanations from the
Trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the
evidence that would be required in an audrt. and consequentty no opinion is given as to whether
the accounts present a and fairf view and the rewt is limtted to those matters set out in
the stst8ment b&low.
