free education, after-school classes, training
programs and the offering of resources to
ill-equipped schools.
(c) Relieve poverty or financial hardship in
Africa by providing or assisting in the
provision of education, training, healthcare
projects and all the necessary support
designed to enable individuals to generate a
sustainable income and be self-sufficient.|

1.19|All our charitable activity for this financial
year has focused on the provision of
education and support for some of the
poorest most disadvantaged families in the
Moshono community in Northern Tanzania.
We continue to sponsor the education of 83
children in Tanzania, children who would
otherwise not be in school, let alone
receiving a good quality education. We
provide the funds to cover their school fees,
uniforms, shoes, sportswear, a school bag
and stationery. We also ensure the school
fees paid include two meals a day for all the
children.
Since January 2023 we now have 26
children at Primary School and 48 in|
|||secondary school. Nine others have
completed secondary, one is at pre
university college, one is at mechanics
college, and 7 are now working.
For secondary education we continue to use
a boarding school option, the Renea School,
which has one of boys and one for girls and
they are boarding schools. This ensures the
children are able to really focus on their
education and maximise the opportunity we
are offering them. We visited the school in
January 2023 and were extremely impressed
by the school and all it does for the children.
All the students receive full payment for their
school fees, which we pay directly to the
schools, we then provide all the children with
new shoes, bags and stationery twice a year.
We provide all the secondary school
students with boarding school needs,
textbooks, dictionaries and calculators.
This year we had a major project to equip
Renea School with computers for the
children to further enhance their education.
We made an appeal to our supporters and
raised the required funds to buy 40
computers a projector and a screen for the
school to set up a single computer study
centre,
We have continued to provide families with
food essentials twice a year, once in June
and once in December, these food parcels
usually contain rice, maize flour, cooking oil,
salt and soap.
The Girl Project - We continue to help all 45
Rise Africa girls with sanitary pads and new
underwear throughout the year.|

In addition to school fees, children receive
uniform, stationary, school bags, shoes,

The Feeding Program has continued to be
essential in helping children and their
families get through the coronavirus
pandemic, with opportunities t earn income
completely drying up and schools closing
temporarily resulting in the children missing
out on the 2 meals a day provided at school.
The families remain in desperate need of our
help and for some its become a critical issue.
We were again able to donate food on 3
separate occasions during the year. We
have also continued to provide food support
to some of the most disadvantaged families
as it remains a real struggle to earn money
to feed themselves. Each food parcel costs
circa £25
The Girl Project - Young girls who do not
have money to buy sanitary pads often use
old cloth or anything they can find, but these
methods are unhygienic and often lead to
infections. We have therefore helped these
girls with sanitary pads throughout the year
costing £540 a year. Through this project we
have also supplied all the girls with new|
|underwear, costing a total of £315 for all 45|

|School fees have increased to £750 a year|
|for secondary students and around £600 for|
|primary students.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **DD / MM / YYYY** 31st October 2023.
**Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
