The charity's objects are
To advance in life and help young people in
Africa through supporting projects in Africa
that:
(a) develop young people's skills, capacities
and capabilities to enable them to participate
in society as independent, mature and
responsible individuals- making them more
employable and increase their standard of
living in the future.
(b) advan￿ education through sponsorship,
free education, after-school classes, training
programs and the offering of resources to
ill-equipped schools.
(c) Relieve poverty or financial hardship in
Africa by providing or assisting in the
provision of education, training, healthcare
projects and all the ne￿SSary support
designed to enable individuals to generate
sustainable income and be self-sufficient.

All our charitable activity for this financial
year has focused on the provision of
education and support for some of the
poorest families in the Moshono community
in Northem Tanzania.
We continue to sponsor the education of 81
children in Tanzania, children who would
otherwise not be in school, let alone
receiving a good quality education. We
provide the funds to cover their school fees,
unifomis, shoes, sportswear, a school bag
and stationary. We also ensure the school
fees paid include two meals a day for all the
children.
In addition to education we have supported
families a lot this
ear due to the dama

covid has created to the poorest. We have
supported a number of community projects
including:
The Feeding Program - we provided all
families with 3 months worth of food
packages to help them through the worst of
the coronavirus pandemic in Tanzania.
The Goat Project- In July we supported the
project with 11 milking goats and 9 goat
houses to families in need, so they can eam
an income through the sale of goat's milk.
The Girl Project- We have committed to
helping all the Rise Africa girls who have
started their period by providing them with
two packets of sanitary pads per month,
currently helping 30 girls through this
program.
Meals for INheels - In March 2020, the Meals
for lfijheels group bought 16 bicycles for all
the year 5 children at Bright Futures.

Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
We have supported the education of 81
children, 74 in private schools and 7 in local
govemment schools. In addition to school
fees, children re￿1ve uniform, stationary,
school bags, shoes, sports kit and 2 meals a
day at school.
The Feeding Program has been essential in
helping children and their families get
through the coronavirus pandemic, with
opportunities to eam income completely
drying up and schools closing temporarily
and therefore children missing out on the 2
meals a day provided at school, the families
were in desperate need of our help. We were
able to donate 3 months of food whilst the
schools were shut, we also continue to
support this project as and when we can as
families still struggle to eam money to feed
themselves. Each food par￿1 costs between
£25 for 81 children = £2025 .

The Goat Project provides poor, struggling
families with a milking goat, from which they
can eam a small income to help support their
children. Each goat & goat house costs
£230.
The Meals for lfvheels provides each child
with a bicycle, helmet, pad lock and knee
pads, helping them get to school, instead of
walking very far or struggling to pay for
transport. The bicycles also provide
enjoyment for children who have not grown
up with lots of toys. Each bike & kit costs
£130.
The Girl Project- Young girls who do not
have money to buy sanitary pads often use
old cloth or anything they can find, but these
methods are unhygienic and often lead to
infections. We have therefore helped these
girls with two packets of sanitsry pads per
month, costing £2 per month, £24 a year per
girl. 30 girls = £60 a month 1 £720 a year.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 3 1 / 1 0  / 2 0 2 0 **DD / MM / YYYY** . 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
