From January 2012. pension provision is being m&1¢ through ihc Dcfined Contribution IDC} Plan within ihe Scheme. In
g¢nerai Members Wdy 8% of thcir Pcnsionable Incomc aNJ employers pay 6% of members. P¢nsionable Incotne inio

contribuuons arc broadly b￿¢d on the employer's mcmI￿rshIp ai 31 December 2014 and incTea5c annually in line with
in¢reases to Minimum Pensionable Incorne as defined in the Rules.
At the end of June 2022. the Baoist Pension Sclrme signed an agreememt with the inwrgrtec eompany Just Group
I'Just'l to secure mcmFKrs' pension benefits the DB Plan. This aS￿eMent is referred io as a'buy-in ptsli¢y'. It
follows a similar agrttm¢nt with Iust in 2019 that covered mo# ￿nsionS in payrncnt at thut The combined
agrecfflcnts m¢an that Just are now providing fin￿￿111 btitkirtg for all DB F¢nsions provided through the Schem¢'s DB
Plan.
The ei)si of such policies is largely driv¢n by financial Ma￿ets and thes¢ have moved iubstantially in th¢ Scheme'5
favour. particularly over the course of the I￿t few months. As a Tesuli. this transaction thkes the Scherne out of a
shortfall posiiion for the first lime in two decadu. Alihough Tisks remain. the Baptisi Union and the Th]stee of the
Scheme have agreed that defsclt eontsibutions from parucipating employer in the DB Plan bt redueed to just £1 per
