The Trustees present their report and financial statements for the year ended 31 August 2025
The trustees have adopted the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP)
"Accounting and Reporting by Charities" issued in March 2005 in preparing the annual report
and financial statements of the charity.
Structurej governance and managernent
The trustees will be the persons who are the members from lime lo time of the Hillsborough
Trinity Methodist Church Council, acting in accordan￿ with their normal procedures.
Appointment of trustees
The trustees musl give to each new trustee, on their first appointment:
a copy of the governing documenl of the charity, including any amendments made to it.,
a copy of the charity's latest report and statement of accounts.
Objectlves and actlvltles
The objects of the charity is to further the religious or other charitable work of the Methodist
Church wlhin the Circuit, with preference lo the work carried out at, and through, the Church. In
Furtheran￿ of the object, but without limitation, the trustees my-
- support work directed towards the advancement of the Christian faith among young childrena
nd young people., and
Provide financial or other assistance to person in need (with preferen￿ to persons who attend
Hillsbrough Trinity Methodist Church)., and
- provide flnancial assistan￿ to Hillsbrough Methodist Church to maintain and repair its
premises.

Charity law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each
financial period whi¢h show the state of affairs of the charity and of net income or
expenditure of the charity for that period. In preparing those financial statements,
the Trustees are required to..

tj make judgements and estlmates that are reasonable and prudent.
Q prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it
is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation.

and explained in the financial statements.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records
which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity
and enable the Trustees lo prepare financial statements. The Trustees
are responsible for safeguarding the assets of the eharity and hence for taking
reasonable steps for the prevention of fraud and other Irregularities.

The charity's Iruslees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's
trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144121 of the
Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Acll and that an independent examination is needed.

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the
Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the aecounling records kept
by the charity and a ¢omparison of the accounts PFesenled with those records. It also
includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking
explanations from you as Irusiees concerning any such mallers. The procedures
undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and
consequently no opinion is given as lo whether the accounts present a 'lrue and fair
