Activities

The Future East partnership aims to heighten awareness of the impact and implications of an ageing society in the East of England and to provide practical responses to them. Seminars on issues of direct concern to older people in which we involve individual older people, statutory agencies, voluntary organisations and younger people. Silver Circles project directly helping older people.

Objects: The Objects Of The Charity And To Which IT Is Specifically Restricted Are To Promote The Following Purposes For The Benefit Of The Public And/or Older People In And Around The East Of England, Specifically The Areas Covered By The Historic Counties Of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk And Unitary Authorities Contained Within Or Contiguous With Them,(hereinafter Called The “Area Of Benefit”):- Preventing Or Relieving The Poverty Of Older People;- Advancing Education;- Preventing Or Relieving Sickness, Disease Or Suffering In Older People (Whether Emotional, Mental Or Physical);- Promoting Equality And Diversity;- Assisting Older People In Need By Reason Of Ill-Health, Disability, Financial Hardship, Social Exclusion Or Other Disadvantage; And- Such Other Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of Older People As The Trustees May From Time To Time Decide The Outcome Of This Being The Promotion Of The Well-Being Of Older People.
