This is the primary, legally binding, restriction on the trustees; the money must be used for this purpose. However, in addition to this, the Donor, Mr Humphrey, expressed his wish, if at all possible, that the money be used for the “generaly [sic- assume general] upkeep and maintenance and restoration where possible of the fabric of the said Church.”
