Revlew of thfr Yoar 2023-2024
The most momentous event of the year occurred at the start of the year In September 2023 with our
purchase of the Moor Pool Estate Office & Snooker Club trom Grainger Plc, the 'last piece in the Moor
Pool jigsaw. Our other activities continued apace with further increased usage of the Moor Pool Halls,
the continuing success of the Cartess Ecology Centre and Nettlefold Garden, and variou$
improvements to our facilities, most notabty the construction of the new disabled access ramp to the
Hall. Our pNdent financing has enabled us to dedicate funds towards capital expenditure when
needed.
A very sad note however was the death of Andrew Ha¢ketL bng-time Trustee in September 2023.
The Trusys r￿en￿Y revised website www.moorpoolhall.org.uk outllnes all of our activities.
Moor Pool E8tsto offlc•
lthen we acquired the Moor Pool Halls from Grainger PIC in 2014, the Moor Pool Estate OffKe &
Snooker Club was excluded from the transaction with Grainger continuing to use the lower floor. We
have maintained a positive dialogue with Grainger in the Intervening years.
Graingef$ changing business plans meant that they no longer needed this office. We 8greed lo
acquire the property from them in lak 2022 and this transactton completed in September 2023.
We were very grateful for the financial support of the Govemmenfs CommunSty <knrship Fund and
Hartjome Tenants. Snooker Club in progressing the acquisitton.
Our aims have been to:
a. Retain the communlty Harbome Tenants Snooker Club on the upper Iloor. We hav8 updated and
renewed the Snooker Club lease.
b. Start up a co-working fa¢lllty $atlsfying home working needs in Harbome. in Ihe Lower Iloor.
¢. Provide community rooms and classroom space In the Lower Floor.
We launched the Gworking and meetlng room spaces in latè 2023, supported by Clare Gordon. our
new Estate Office Manager. The facilities have been rated as excellent by most users 8nd momenlum

Wo have also moved ourTNst office acros$ whlch Mak￿ for a more pfea88nl workkng environmènt lor our stsff.
This completes our ownership of the hi5tori¢ Moor Pool buildings withln The Clrcle. Very much the last
