OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
The relief of poverty and sickness in deprived areas of the world. In particular, but not
exclusively by the provision of water through the installation of wells., shelter, security and
food through children's homes., health through medical ntre$ and outreach work and
opportunities for employment through educational support, vocational training and micro
enterprise development.
Public benefit
The trustees have given careful consideration to the guidance issued by the Charity
Commission on public benefit in setting the objectives and planning the activities.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
We Ignite Nations supports 3 sewing ntre$ that train women in rural India by providing
them with valuable tailoring training and skills. Our experienced teachers provide them with
the tools and knowledge needed to make an independent living. We have been continuously
supeNising the "Lives-Transforming' Projert lo see it grow and bring Change in lives and
communities.
Over 100 women were trained in this financial period.
We have had the privilege of witnessing several inspiring success stories, particularly from
rural women who have not only transformed their own lives bul also uplifted their
communities. Through dedicated training in sewing many ofthese women have gained not
only vocational skills but also the confidence and independence to pursue their dreams, and
through these skills many have been helping their communities, and helping their own
children in education.
We've continued to drill wells in some of the poorest areas of India. Each well brings clean
water to an entire village which can benefit anywhere from 50 to 100 families.
We've supported the expansion of Blue Haven School which will provide education to many
more children who don't have access to quality educalion. This will help them to build a
future and a hope.
We've also supported a computer centre setup to provide computer based education to
those in poorer communities. This Iraining will empower Ihose that aren't normally able to
access this type of education due to costs or availability. Our hope is that they will be able to
find higher paid work later on that can help bring their families out of poverty.
Future Work
We're going io continue in our core competencies as that's where we're mosl effective, but
look to expand in other areas across Asia. We also want to fund other types of projects
depending on the needs of the people.
The goal wilh these projects is to make them self-sustaining, so where possible requiring
little to no additional funding once completed, and having adequate resources in terms of
people and systems to ensure they're maintained going fOardS.
We've created less dependency on perpetually giving aid by providing the tools and
resources needed to empower people oul of their siluations. This makes our work a lot more
effective and makes the funds go much further in terms ofthe impact. We look to expand
working this way in the future.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial Position
Total incoming resources for the year amounted to £30,163.7912022-2023'. £11,258.33)
Total outgoing resources amounted to £37,580.28 (2022-2023.. £22.79}
Restricted funds for the year amounted to £1,820.
Work carried out on our behalf by We Ignite Nations US in FY 2022-2023, whilst we were
transitioning banking and other systems and processes, were paid from this financial period
12023-2024).
Principal funding sources
The charity is financed largely by voluntary donations and claims Gift Aid from HMRC on
eligible donations.
Reserves policy
The charity wishes to maintain reserves of up to £5,000 per financial year. This to ensure
continuation of the charity's objectives should there be any conrn with funding in the
future. As the funding increases the trustees will review whether the reseNes should
increase.

Going concern
The Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the Charity has adequate resources to
continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason, they continue to
adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
We Ignite Nations is constituted as a charitable trust, and is controlled by its goveming
document, a trust deed.
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
Every trustee must be appointed by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of
the trustees.
In selecting individuals for appointment as trustees, the existing trustees have regard lo the
skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the charitable
trust.
Trustees are appointed for a term of three years. This term can be extended for a further 3
years at a time based on agreement and resolution passed at a properly convened meeting
of the trustees.
Wider network
The charity works primarily with We Ignite Nations in the U.S. in order to effectively fulfil the
duties of the charity's objectives. We Ignite Nations in the U.S. is a Christian humanitarian
organization that has been operating in the areas where our work is carried out for over 20
years and are extremely effective in what they do. They have the necessary resources and
infraslruclure which means we can allocale more funds to fulfilling the charity's objectives.
This keeps our operations streamlined and efficient and vastly reduces risk and ongoing
concerns, if any.

We report to the trustees on our examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 5[th ] April 2024, set out on pages 1-2.
## **Responsibilities and basis of report**
As the charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). We report in respect of our examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out our examination, we have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
## **Independent examiner's statement**
We have completed our examination. We confirm that no material matters have come to our attention in connection with the examination which gives us cause to believe that in, any material respect,:
- the accounting records were not �ept in accordance with section 1�0 of the Act� or
- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records� or
- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
We have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
