improving conditions of life for persons in the
community.

The charity supports 5 Nursery Schools, a
Primary School, a Youth club, food and
school garden projects, permaculture,
HIV/AIDS education and counselling, a radio
station, teacher training, radio journalism
training, volunteer programmes with
internships, maternity hospitals, a training
centre for adults with physical disabilities, a
vocational training for young adults and
school leavers.
The trustees see the charitable support of
these worthwhile organisations in the relief
of poverty and the provision of support for
health and education to be for the public
benefit.

Para 1.20 272 children attend Stepping Stones Primary
School.
141 children from severely deprived
backgrounds: orphans, fostered, poverty, no
work. Morning snacks and nutritious lunch
give some food security on school days and
help brain development and learning.
Over subscription in Standard 1 has led to
class being split in 2 to accommodate more
children, keep class size small and allow 15
more children to be educated. Class room
extensions need fixtures and furnishings
which provide employment and additional
finances for builders and carpenters in the
locality thus helping the prosperity of local
families.
Completion of huge library and computer
suite building. Whole community
involvement in celebratory opening: tribal
chiefs attended giving credence to the
establishment. The entire unit for community
use not just school so reaching a much
wider network to enable learning for all ages.
English lessons offered to adults in
community.
After school clubs and sports have improved
life skills learning in cooking, permaculture,
social skills, netball, football.
Provision of sanitary pads, underwear, and
soap as well as menstrual health education
have ensured girls stay in education during
their menstrual cycle and given boys a
knowledge and understanding of female
sexual health.
Teacher training has provided our teachers
with understanding how to differentiate the
curriculum delivery to enhance
understanding at all levels, deal with
behavioural difficulties presented by pupils
so enabling all to engage in learning and
make progress, learn about neuro-diversity
and the workings of the brain to further
teaching skills pinpointing ways to develop
individual attainment.
Building a perimeter wall around Nursery
class at Stepping Stones has ensured any
safety and safe guarding issues. Also
flushing toilets have installed been creating
improved sanitation and hygiene. 4 other

nurseries in rural settings. 202 children attending across all 5 nurseries. All nursery school children receive daily nutritious porridge. They are taught in an inclusive, supportive well resourced environment. Completion of on site dormitory facilities has given opportunities for vocational students from afar to enrol and engage in further education and learn skills towards employment. The dormitory also ensures Standard 8 students a safe and secure place to stay and study for National exams, for entry to Secondary School, receive 3 meals a day from resident cook and supervision from their resident teacher. A place at Secondary School will ensure future employment or the entry to university and a path to a better future, prosperity and well being for the candidate and his/her family.
