The Direttors present their report together with the unaudiied financial starements of the Company for the
vear ended 31 August 2022
The orEanisation is a charitable Company l(mited by euarantee. incorporated on 24 No¥ember 2011 and reeistered
with the Charities Commission on 16 July 2012. The Company was established under a Mernorandum of
Association which established the objects and powers of the charitable company and is governed under its
Articles of A550Ciation.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Our key aims and objeetives are as follows..
Overseein8 the Running of Polish Saturday School=
•To provide hi8h-quality educational opportunitres for children and young people to learn the Polish language, history.
culture and traditions.
•To foster a sense of pride and connethon to Polish heritsge among Polish-British children in Pfymouth.
Promoting Polish Culture..
•To aetfvely promote Polish culture through various bn￿315¥es induding %wrkshops. exhibtllons and tultural events that
showcase Polish traditions. art. music and cuisine.
•To tollabor3tÈ with other cultvral organisations and community 8roups to raise awareness of Polish contributions to British
society and promote intercultural understanding.

PRINCIPAL AcllviTY
The principal activities of the Company In the year under rewew were the promotion of rhe objects for which the Charity
was formed. to advance education for the public benefit in Polish L3ngua8e. culture. tradition and heritage in particular
within the Polish community.
REVIEW OF BUSINESS
The main focus of the charity coniinues to'be week-to-week running of the Saturday sthool. occasional social events.
Chrt5trnas. family fairs. annual trips where we aiffj to prOry￿te the object￿e5 of the charity
REVIEW OF CHARITA8LE ACTMTIES
Clear objectives have been set for the charity. Regular meeting5 are held at which performance measures against objectives
are reviewed.
FINANCIAL REVIEW & RÉSERVES
The net movement in the un￿tritted Fund comprises a deficii of £1.523 being the excess ofexpenditure over rncome. The
charity does not hold any restricted funds.
RISKS
The major risks to which the Company is exposed. a5 identifTred by the Directors. have been reviewed and systems have
been established to mitigate these ri5k5.
PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

Running Polish Saturday School=
•Strengthen and expand the Polish Saturday Sthool by offering a wider range of educational athvrhes including language
classes, history lessons, cultural workshops and arts and ciafts sessions.
•Collaboraie with llxal educational in￿lI￿tiOnS to provide professional development opportunilies for Polish langua8e
teachers and promote the inclusion of Po1¢5h language and culture in the mainstream curriculum.
Promoting Polish Traditions and Cultural Events to the Local Community..
•Organise regijlar cultural events such as Polish music and dance performances. art exhibtknons. film Screenings and culinary
festivals to showcase the richne55 and diversity tsf Polish traditiork5 to the wider rommunity in Plymouth.
•Collaborate with local venue5. community centre5 and cultural orK4nisations to h05t joint events and promote cr055-
culiural exchange.
Becoming a Hub of SLJPPOrt lor the Polish Community..
•Establish a resource centre to provide information. a(fvice and support services to the Polish community in Plymouth
including a5515tsnce with housin& employrnent. healthcare and integration into the local community.
•Faci1itate Social gatherings. sUPPOrt groups and networking opportunities to foster a sense of community among Polish

Getting Involved in the Great Orchestra of Christma5 Charity IGOCC)..

By implemeniing this future plan. the Sooety forthe Pro￿￿tIOn of Anglo-Polish Culture in Plymouth aims to strengthen
cultural ties, promote Polish traditions and supporr ihe Polish community in Pfymouth. Through collaboration. education
and comrnunity engagernent, we aspire to create an indusive and vibrant cultural landscape that celebrates the
contributions and heritage of the Polish-British community-

The Dirertors have a duty to prepare financial ststements for each financial year which give a rwe and falr

those financial statements. the Directors are required to=

I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31 August 2022 which are set out on pages 7 to 11.
Respective responsibilities of trustees ond examiner
The chariws trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charivs trustee5 consider that an audit is
not required for thi5 year under section 144 of the Charitie5 Act 20111.the Charities Actrl and that an independent
eKaminatton is needed.

examine the accounts under sertion 145 of the 2011 Act-
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under sertion
1451Sllbl of the 2011 Act.. and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attentlon.
My examination was carried out in accordance %wth the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An
examination includes a review of the accounting record5 kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented
with those records. li also indudes consideratiorh of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts. and the seeking of
explanètions from you as tru5tee5 concernin8 any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the
evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whEther the accounts present a
'true and fair vieW and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
