**Objects:** (A) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PEOPLE OF DORSET AND THE SURROUNDING AREA IN THE STUDY OF BIRDS AND THE SCIENCE OF ORNITHOLOGY.(B) TO BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY OF DORSET AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY CONTRIBUTING TO THE CONSERVATION OF BIRDS THROUGH RESEARCH AND THE PUBLICATION OF RESULTS, BY PRACTICAL PROJECTS AND BY ENCOURAGING AND WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHERS WITH SIMILAR INTERESTS

**Activities:** The Dorset Bird Club operate a database of bird records to produce an annual report. Hold a number of outdoor (free) and indoor meetings/events, open to all. Make comment on local planning issues where there are concerns over impacts on Dorset's bird life, in consultation with other conservation bodies. A Conservation Fund is available to make small grants to local projects.
