The Company is entitled to the exemption from the audit requirement contained in Section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 for the year ended 31st March 2025 No member of the Company has deposited a notice , persuant to Section 476 , requiring an audit of these accounts .
The trustees' responsibilities for ensuring that the charity keeps accounting records which comply with section 386 of the Act and for preparing accounts which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of the financial year and of its incoming resources and application of resources , including its income and expenditure , for the financial year in accordance with the requirements of sections 394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to accounts , so far as applicable to the company .
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime .

## **TRUSTEES’ REPORT (Including DIRECTORS’ REPORT)**
## **FOR THE YEAR ENDING 31ST MARCH 2025**
## **The trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 31st March 2025 The accounts have been prepared in accordance with accountng policies applicable To Charites**
## **Objectives**
The Charity's objectives are to advance healthy and physical education of young people up to the age of 18 in Rochdale Borough and surrounding areas and to otherwise provide facilities in the interests of social health, wellbeing and welfare for recreation and education with the object of improving conditions of life . The Charity operates for the furtherance of these objectives through the playing of and coaching in the playing of association football .
The trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the Charity should undertake .
As an FA CharterDevelopment' Standard Club with extensive partnerships across the football spectrum and community we offer organised football to youngsters from 4-5 years of age up to the age of 18+ years of age
We have Thirty Six Teams in total at the following age groups
- a) Bridge Academy 4-6 year olds - 3 teams
- b) Bridge Boys Teams :
Under 7 - 2 Teams , Under 8 - 4Teams , Under 9 3 Teams , Under 10 - 3 Teams , Under 11 - 2 Teams , Under 12- 3 teams , Undelr 13 - 2Teams , Under 14 - 3 Teams , Under 15 - 1 Team , Under 17- 1Team , Open Age - 2 Teams .
c) FA Wildcats Girls Under 9 Team
- d) Bridge Girls teams - Under 10 - 1 Team , Under 12--2Teams , Under 13 - 1Team , Under 15 - 1 Team
e) Bridge Ability - Under 16 progressing to 2 Teams & Over 16 - 4 Teams
Disability provision is offered in both the Under 16 and the Open Age sections (Bridgeability)x 4 squads in partnership with The LFA , Link4Life (Borough Sports Development Specialist) and Hopwood Hall College in Middleton where we support their disability squads at 16-18 years of age .
Every one of the BJFC teams from 5 years of age to open age has qualified managers , coaches , assistants and volunteers who are responsible for supporting their allocated squad . In total , over 100 qualified volunteers, 24180 hours per annum support the club's activity . We continue to be proud of our success with the Under 5 , 6 & 7 as well as the Girls (at both Wildcats ages 5 - 9 and 15s) and the Bridgeability groups (across all disabilities from 10 to adult) which always prove to be harder ro recruit both participants and volunteers .
## **Achievements and Performance**
Our focus this year was to establish new teams/squads at Under 5 (15 participants) , Under 6 (15 Participants) , Under 7 x 2
teams (21 Participants) , Bridgeability (Disability) and Girls (particularly at Wildcats level ) .
The growth of the Club at the younger end is proving extremely popular and , alongside this growth there is the
Bridgeability extension which is also working well . The Girls development (at Wildcats);is taking a little longer to establish the numbers but we now have 15-20 participants to establish the numbers needed .
As a Club , we are now reaching out into the community , working with the FA , LFA , MFA , RBC , the CoOp , the Football Foundation , National Lottery and we work very closely with Your Trust (the Sporting Development Team with RBC) , we work extensively with all these partners on both developments and funding activities .
As a registered Charity , we are in a strong position to secure support and funding from all the above partners a as we collaborate closely with them .
We hope to continue with the growth of the Club across all areas , both in playing numbers attending and the
corresponding volunteer base (and the achievement of their qualifications as well as securing support to develop the facility as well as the quality of playing (and drainage) performance areas .
Paramount to this is our continued presence on part of the site which is under threat of potential housing development
and the protection of our long term lease with 14 years remaining with RBC and is in the light of provisional plans submitd By RBC around the Greater Manchester Spacial Framework ( the GM combined boroughs plan)for house bilding over the nex 30 years to which Rochdale is signed up and a land swap proposal is now under consideration to maintain to maintain the site as a sports hub facility .
Overall , the Club is in a strong position with the infrastructure supporting this well established . The foundations of the Club are strong and its' ability to offer continuity sustainability and financial confidence are all in place and are
robust in their content .This means that the future of the Club looks good , so long as the home base at Bamford from which it operates remains available to us (as our lease with RBC allows) in short , the medium and long term future .
## **Financial Review**
During the year , the charity had a deficit of £20155 (2024 - Surplus of £20155) from total income of £49532 (2024 - £49532 including grants of £0 (2024 £ 0)
It is the policy of the charity that unrestricted funds which have not been designated for a specific use should be maintained at a level equivalent to between three and six months expenditure . The Trustees consider that reserves at this level will ensure that , in the event of a significant drop in funding , they will be able to continue the charity's current activities while consideration is given to ways of securing additional funding . This , as always , is subject to seasonal variation as was the case at year end .
The main source of income for the charity is from membership fees and the main expenditure relates to the provision of relevant services .
The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to major risks .
## **Structure , governance and management**
The charity is a company limited by guarantee , incorporated on March 5th 2012 and registered
as a charity on 5th July 2012 . The charity is governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association .
The trustees who are also the directors for the purpose of company law and who served during the year were :
Ms C Spence , Mr M Jackson , Mr J Bannon , Mr D J Lee , Ms J Carr ,Mr S McGuinness , Mr G Oldfield Mr I P Robertson , Mr M Rukowski ,
For a person to be recruited and appointed as a trustee , they must be aged 16 years or older and have no conflicting interests with those of the charity .
The charity may , by ordinary resolution , appoint a person who is willing to act to be a trustee and determine the rotation in which any additional trustees are to retired.
At the first Annual General Meeting , all the trustees must retire from office , unless ,
by the close of the meeting , the members have failed to elect sufficient trustees to hold a quorate meeting of the business . At each subsequent Annual General Meeting one third of the trustees or , where their number is not three or a multiple of three , the number nearest to one third , must retire from office . No person other than a trustee retiring by rotation may be appointed a trustee at any General Meeting unless he or she is recommended for reelection by the trustees .
All volunteers must undergo background checks to reassure parents that volunteers are above doubt .
None of the trustees have any beneficial interest in the company . All of the trustees are members of the company and guarantee to contribute £1 in the event of a winding up .
The main points of contact for the charity are Mr D Robinson , Chairman and trustee and Mr Barry Woodburn , club secretary , welfare officer and trustee . There are also an additional 9 trustees who help run the charity and ensure the charity's objects are achieved . All volunteers associated with the club are involved in coaching and club activities .
The trustees may delegate any of their powers or functions to a committee of two or more trustees but the terms of any delegation must be recorded in the minute book . The trustees may also revoke or alter a delegation .

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF BRIDGE JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB LTD**
I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31st March 2025 which are attached hereto
## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**
The trustees , who are also directors of Bridge Junior Football Club Ltd for the purposes a company law are responsible for the preparation of the accounts . The trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed .
Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit under company law and is elegible for independent examination , it is my responsibility to :
a) examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act
b) to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act and
c) to state whether particular matters have come to my attention .
## **Basis of independent examiner's report**
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records . It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and , seeking explanations from you , as trustees concerning any such matters . The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and , consequently , no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'trust and fair view' and the report is limited to those matters set out in the next statement .
## **Independent examiner's report**
In connection with my examination , no other matter except that referred to in the previous paragraph has come to my attention .
a) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: I) to keep accounting records in accordance with section 386 of the Companies Act 2006 ; and Ii) to prepare accounts which accord with accounting records , comply with the accounting requirements of 396 of the Companies Act 2006 and with methods and principles of the Statement of a Recommended Practice : Accounting and Reporting by Charities have not been met or
b) to which , in my opinion , attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached .
