In Jonuary we look part in lljoint retre¥r for the Musicians Nthork (W ond Crescendo (the European
equivalent of MN). This proved w be very en￿urn81n￿ as we were Able to share and explore our joint vision
and to stt how musicions from Gcnnany and oth¢r European countries were developin8 the ideas we had
shllred over the yellrs.
In May 2024 we led an(Nher of our'Tb¢ Sp¢e' creative retreais. with around 16 8uestsioining u4 includin8
some who had been before. For these retreats we offu a varted promme of music. art and photography. and
the opportunity for evayone to relax and share ueative ideas.
While down ai Ashbumham Pla¢¢ we tske the opFK)rtunity play for the Ukrainian refiJ8ees ￿ their hub in
Bexhill-on.Sea ￿ well &$ for asylum 5ttkers at a ￿f6 in Ha￿An85. Rothff Voluntsry Action continu¢ to fund

In June 2024 a small gTOUP of us went to Christ the Kin8 Seh¢y)l and St Barnab&s Chur¢h in the Moss Estate.
noted deprived area of Macclesfield. Two of our musician$ have tsught M￿siC at the s¢h(K)l over the past ftw
ye4r5 and felt that th¢ $tsff would benefii from our sound portrai￿ being & challen8in8 to work. Music
has Th)w b¢¢ome a significant Part of the scIMJoI we¢k ¥$ the headteachcr and stsff have recognised what a
ditTerence m￿le is making to the children. It was a pleasure to tak¢ part in the assembly ai the end of the
afternoon and to see the delight on ihe children'5 falw in reS￿nSt to the musi¢.

In June and September we t(x)k F*rt in two separate 4Tts festivals b￿d at Poynton Methodist Church. In June
we put on a unique immersiv4 impmvised pttfonnanc¢ for l¢xal artists and the gtheral public. The evening

In July we spe¥)t two d4y5 in Somerset ot the invitation of a pi01￿r priest and artist as part of On Eco-Arts
fes¢Tv81. We played sound ￿rtraIts s￿dentS from varyous I￿￿1 schools and for th¢ generdl public in
Shepton Mail¢tt town centre. On the final evenin& we put on 4'The Spxe. conL%rt in the beautiful setting of
Chesterblade Hills, (a vertue for peiple car¢ about the cnvirojunent to experience wild camping.

In October 2024 we paid a retum visit to Claytoo Bradford to spend the aftemoon pl#ying for 8 group of
adults with severe legrnin8 diffigjlties and th¢ir carus. arranged by the clwity, TuTDlng Polnt. This time we
w¢r¢ joined by th artist friend who bravely travelled all the way up lo Yorkshire from the south coast ort the
train. Like the last time. the session was intttaclive and a few of those who seemed to have very little
awareness ot th¢ $tart of our so4sion seaned to liven ￿ a little as time we￿t on. Ag4in, we hAd A couple of
reque$ts to ploy their favourio tunes.

Ai the end of January this year we were iftvited to run a'spxe Retre&t' a¢ Sc4rgill House in ih¢ heart of the
Yorkshire D8le4 following 3 similar panem ¢0 the retreats w¢ Tun at Ashburnham. This w&8 the first time
leadin8 8 retreat there. We were warnily welcomed by the Sr•r8ill e))mm￿lty, and we enjoyed 8ettin8 to
know some new pwple.

Ai the end of February. some Epiphany musicians lcd an improvisation training workshop for a group of
Classical musicians from the V￿louS Central London FrrB churthes. In all, ￿Und 20-30 musician$ joined u4
rnany of them young PEople linked to the London music colle8es.

In Mar¢h 2025. we pl•yeAJ sound waits for ktal ruidents 8nd visitors to the island- • beautiful and serene
place to Visit and to mak¢ music. We w¢re based in St Cuthbert's Chw¢h which doubles as a community hub.
Some of the visitors were dwly moved and one said the music beert'a lif￿hanging expErienc¢'.
Anthhep resIde￿I01 retre
At the end of March EpiphAny were involved in a retreat forthe s¢wnd time at All Nations Christian College
in W4r¢. Hertfttd5hire. We play*J Sound p￿Il$ for the retreatants who were there for spirit￿[ direction as
well as to explore art 45 Bn expression of their faith. pthicularly through diffI￿lt segsons of life. We wer¢
8rnteful to be joined on this occasion by an oboist frithd who liva nwby.
Conferencefor¢he Dlo¢ae ofO¥ord
For two days in May 2025. we were involved in the annual Oxford Diocesan Cler8y ¢onference at the H4y¢$
Conference Centre in Duby5hire. It's always a wivilege to be able to play for people at these confer¢nce5.
Many have very b￿Y and stressful ItV&8 al￿ it was gocd to hear how the music he1￿j people to 88in a clearer
picture of their ministy and purw.

which led to dISc￿lOn5 about how the improvisati(￿S aff￿] them. We 8ave them many opwirtunities
lo rellect back. and it w&s clear that the insight had gained wgs b￿¢ficIal to their learnin8. One $tyde

The last event in May WLS $P#)ding a day playing swnd N)rtrnits for attendees at a conference in
Bimingham. 5pccifically 4imrAJ at Christians involvd in music and th¢ wts. The or8anisation that runs this
conference atTilioled to Betel. 4 Christian charity helpin8 peopl¢ with addiction. We had an opportunity to
play for some of the residents of B¥Xel.

We have been encournged these pLst few months to ertgage with othw group5 of musi¢ian5 who have cl¢arly
laken hold of the vision io use music &q a lansua8e for mission and Out￿Ch, and we hov¢ had some extra
musicians joinin8 us for a time to 8ive them an Opwt￿lty to FYactic¢ and hone their improvisation 5kilts. We
continu¢ lo look for ways io encournge other musicions in the art of improvis&tIo￿ and we are ￿rtiCularlY
looking to liaise with some of the music colle8es.
We enjoy Tunnin8 our'The Space, retreits. which 8re Str4dily bxoming p)pular. and thesc continue to fill up
spaces in our diary.
We particularly enjoy 8ettin8 Out to space$ where we can play our S(￿nd iY*1rnits to the ￿ernI public and
there are OPPOrfuniti&s eoming up to do thi5.

regard to the honoraria paid to our thinistrator which isn't matched by the specific donations forthat purpose.
