The charity is governed by the of union (1932) and the Methodist Church Act
(1976) adopted 20° September 1932
During the year the Church has continued to bring the IA)ve of Christ to all however due
to the l(Kkdown the premises wer¢ completely closed until May. since when they have
been gradually opened again.
The work of the church h&8 continued in the following ways:.
Provision of regular public acts of worship open to memkrs of the Church and
also to non members which has gr&Jually recommenced since May.
Provision of sacred space for prayer and contemplation
Teaching Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups
P&storal work including visiting the sick ai home and in hospital, also the elderly
and bereaved at home or in residential care in a￿rdanc* with regulations.
.A holiday club has been held weekly durin8 the school holiday periods for all
ages. material for which has been made available on line while the premises have
been closed.
Providing special services for ail as rquested, for Weddin￿ thanksgivings,
funerals or other requests since May.
Supporting local Church and Charity initiatives, including the local food bank #s
well as National Charity appeals
The buildings are also used by the local community for various activities. sinr
May.
However due to the Coronavirus the Church premises had to be c105ed until mid
May but the work amongst the members and the local community h&s continued visiting
where appropriale, using Zoom. WatsAt and posL and supporting other local charitable
work including the food banL
The financtal position of the Church is considered to be satisfactory with the major
quarterly payment being covered by offerings and gift aid receipts
Reserves are considered to be suffjcient foi cutrent requirements
