Activities

The Wharncliffe Foundation Trust has been established to support education provision for the community of Olokodeje in Nigeria. Funds raised by the trust will primarily be used to support the Elementary School in that village. The school is for all children in the community regardless of religion or background. The trust also plans to develop education programmes in literacy, etc. for adults.

Objects: (a) To Advance The Education Of Pupils In Any Socially Disadvantaged Community By Providing And Assisting In The Provision Of Facilities For Education At Their School. B) For The Public Benefit To Promote The Education Of People In Any Socially Disadvantaged Community In Such Ways As The Charity Trustees Think Fit Including By: 1. Awarding To Such Persons Scholarships, Maintenance Allowances Or Grants Tenable At Any University, College Or Institute Of Further Or Higher Education 2. Providing Their Education, To Undertake Travel In Furtherance Of That Education Or To Prepare For Entry In To Any Occupation, Trade Or Profession On Leaving Any Educational Establishment. C) To Develop The Capacity And Skills Of Any Socially Disadvantaged Community In Such Ways That They Are Better Able To Identify, And Help Meet, Their Needs And To Participate More Fully In Society.
