which provide written principle5 on the use of financial derivative5 to manage these risks. The charity doES not
use derivative financial instruments for speculative purposes.
Ctssliflow risk
The charity's acthvities expose it primarily to the finantial risks of changes in foreign currency txchange rates

Interest bearing assets aTKi liabilities are held at fixed rate io ensure certainty of cash flows.
Credit risk
The charity's principal financial &ssets are bank balances and c&8h, trade and other receivables, and investrtlents.
The charity's credit risk is primarily atttibuthble io its trade receivable5. The amounts presented in the balance

The charity has no sigTrifi¢ani ¢oTrceniration of Credit ri5( with exposur¢ spr¢ad oveT a Iprge number of

Derivaiivefinuncial insiruments
The charity uses derivative fmancial instruments to redLKe exposure to foreign exchange risk and interest rate
movements. The eharity does not hold or issue derirdtive financial instyuments for speculative purposes.
DeTiva¢iv¢s are initially recognised at fair wdlue at the date a derivaiive contract is entrred into and are
subsequently remeasured to iheir fair value ai each reportints date. The resulting gain or loss is recognised in
statemeni of financial activities immediaiely unless the derivaiive is designated and effective as a hedging
instrumenl in which event the timing of the recognition in statement of fuwicial activities depends on ihe
nature of the hedge relationship.
Fair value measuremeni
The best evidence of fair value is a quoted price for an identical asset in an aciive marker_ When quoted prices
are unavailable. Ihe price of a recent transaciion for an identical asset provide5 evidence of fair value a5 long as
there ha5 nor been a signifjcant change in economic circumstances or a significant lapse of time since the
transaction took place. If the market is noi active and recent transaetions of an idenrical asset on their own are
not a g¢)od estimate of fair value, the fair value is e51imated by using a valuation technique.
