Aims and perforniance:
Puddleducks Nursery aims to provbje high qualty. affordab￿ and i￿l￿Ne chilthare for children from birth to five. in a
safe and supportive environment, offering stimulatir¥J and rewarding acliviknes forall abilibes and where staff are supported
and rewarded and partnerships with parerts are forged.
The Nursery is registered with OFSTED which monitors the nat￿y￿1 stsndards of thildcare provision and education and
rocewed a rating of good in all areas al the last inspection in Seplember 2022.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
In September 2022 the Nursery joined with King Afred A(aYemy TrLSSt. This mve has resulled in closer w¢ikiThJ with
Pewspy Primary S¢1￿01 lo delNet a roun¢Jed CU￿1cUlUrn arKI seamkss experienGe fot parents as theirthild transitions from
the Nursery into Pe¥￿eY Primary Sd)0￿. In addition. Ihe trust have l*en abk to provide in depth training, development
and support forour staff in areas s[￿ as SEN, saleguarding and finance, addthonalty shariNJ space and resources across
the Trust e.g.. Sports Day aThJ Christmas Pr0dL1th￿ forthe nuwry was hekl on the Primary School site to faalitate
larger numbers.
The past year has seen an increase in children attend￿g and the Nursery is now atfull capacitywth wai￿ng lists for babies
and toddlers. Due to increased numbers, the affter-xhool thb is hdd on the Pewsey Primary site in the school hall and
also uses Ihe grounds and equipwEnt that are aJe appropTiate for the thildren.
In lolal we employed 19 staff throughout the year. Nine staff hold a relevant eady yearfs qualrfKation, one of whom hokls
a levol 4 qualiffcalion and ¢)ne a level 5. Stsff are encouraged to devek)p and maintain their skills, we appointed an
apprentice as planned during the year and SI￿ ￿ (xjrrentty being supported to complete her Level 3 apprenticeship. she
has completed her Level 2 sU￿sSIu11y.
We have been able lo redecoralod the entrance lo the building in neutr* cok)urs this year. to provKle a calming welcoming
environment for our chi￿￿￿. We plan lo replaGe the carpets and Ilooring in the rwms next year.

King Alfred Trust took over Ihe lease of Puddleducks NLFrsery from Wttshire Ccyjnal on a 27 year remainin9 temi in
September 2022.

March 2012.
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
The Directors of the Nursery are also charty tnJstees for Ihe purposes of charity law. Under the ￿qUIrementS ofthe
Memorandurn and Artides ofassoriation the trustees are elecled lo seNe for a period offwr years after which they
rnust be re&ele¢Xed at Ihe next Annual General Meeling.
Organisational structure and how the charity makes decislons
King Alfred Trust is the parent coryany and ￿le member of Puddledwks Nursery and Pre Sthol. King Alfred Trust
holds 100% of the voting rights of the Nursery. The board of trustees meets up to 6 times a year.
