services.
Ensuring our work delivers our aims
We reviewouraims,objectivesandactivitieseachyear.Thisreviewlooksat whatwe achievedandtheoutcomesof our
workin the previous12 months.The reviewlooksat the successof eachkey activityandthe benefitstheyhave brought
to those groupsof peoplewe are set up to help.The review also helps us to ensure that our aim, objectivesand activities
remained focused on our stated purposes.
WehavereferredtotheguidancecontainedintheCharityCommission'sgeneralguidanceonpublicbenefit when
reviewingouraimsandobjectivesandinplanningourfutureactivities.Inparticular,thetrusteesconsiderhow planned
activities will contribute to the aims and objectives they have set.
The focus of our work
Amongthe pre-schoolnurseryservicesofferedby LittleSaintsPreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommitteeLtd are the
provision of appropriate play, education and care facilities.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable activities
How our activities deliver public benefit
Insettingourobjectivesandplanningouractivitiesthetrusteeshavegivencarefulconsiderationtothe Charity
Commission's general guidance on public benefit, including the guidance on public benefit and fee charging.
Ourmainactivitiesandwhowetrytohelparedescribedbelow.Allofourcharitableactivitiesfocusonourability to
enhance, develop and educate children primarily under statutory school age.
Duringthe year ended 31 March 2024 Little Saints PreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommittee Ltd has been successful
inencouragingparentstounderstandandprovidefortheneedsof theirchildrenthroughthevariouspre-school nursery
services provided.
Amongtheseservicesaretheprovisionofcommunitygroupsandtheprovisionofappropriateplay,educationand care
facilitiesandtrainingcoursesandparentshavebeenencouragedtobecomeinvolvedintheactivitiesofthe groups
provided by Little Saints Preschool Stourbridge Management Committee Ltd during the year.
Asaresult,thegroupsandfacilitiesofferedbyLittleSaintsPreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommitteeLtd have
offered opportunities for all children regardless of their race, culture, religion, means and ability.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves policy
It is thepolicyofthetrusteestomaintaina levelof reservessufficienttoensurethecontinuedoperationof the charity's
activities.
Financial review
TheStatementofFinancialActivitiesfortheyearended31March2024showsincomingresourcesof£108,682 (2023:
£98,042) and resources expended of £100,256 (2023: £105,748) , resulting in a surplus of £8,425 (2023 deficit of £7,706).
ThereservesareprimarilytocoverthedevelopmentandfutureoperationalexpensesofLittleSaints Preschool
Stourbridge Management Committee Ltd.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

LittleSaintsPreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommitteeLtdisacompanylimitedbyguarantee(registered company
number07490493)whichwasincorporatedon12January2011andachievedcharitablestatuson29May 2012
(registered charity number 1147493).
ThecompanywasestablishedunderaMemorandumofAssociationwhichestablishedtheobjectsandpowersof the
charitable company and is governed under its Articles of Association.
As pera resolutiondated7 March2012thecompany'smemberspasseda resolutiontoadopttheArticlesof Association
foracharitablecompanywhichwasforwardedtoCompaniesHouseandanapplicationwasmadetothe Charity
Commission in order for the company to become a charitable company.
FollowingtheadoptionoftheseArticlesofAssociation,intheeventofthecompanybeingwoundupmembers are
required to contribute an amount not exceeding £10.
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
As set out in the charity'sArticlesof Associationnew trusteesare appointedby the boardof trusteesafter applyingto the
company in the form required by the trustees and after being approved by the board of trustees.
All trusteesgive theirtime voluntarilyandreceiveno benefitsfromthe charity.Anyexpensesreclaimedfromthe charity
are set out in the notes to the financial statements.
Organisational structure
LittleSaintsPreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommitteeLtdisorganisedsothatitsmanagementcommittee of
trustees meet regularly to manage its affairs and formulate policy.
Aschemeofdelegationisinplaceanddaytodayresponsibilityfortheprovisionofthecharity'sservicesrestwith a
playroomleader.The playroomleaderis responsiblefor ensuringthatthe charitydeliversthe servicesspecifiedand that
keyperformanceindicatorsaremet.Theplayroomleaderalsohasresponsibilityforthedaytoday operational
managementof the charity,individualsupervisionof the staff team andensuringthatthe team continueto develop their
skills and working practices in line with good practice.

New trusteesundergoan orientationday to briefthem on legalobligationsundercharitylaw, the contentof the charity's
constitution,thecommitteeanddecision-makingprocessesandtherecentfinancialperformanceofthecharity. During
theinductiondaytheymeetkeyemployeesandothertrustees.Trusteesareencouragedtoattendappropriate external
training events where these will facilitate the understanding of their role.
Risk management
Thetrusteeshaveadutytoidentifyandreviewtheriskstowhichthecharityisexposedandtoensure appropriate
controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Little Saints Preschool Stourbridge Management Committee Ltd ('the Company')
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 March 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As thecharity'strusteesof theCompany(andalsoitsdirectorsforthepurposesof companylaw)youareresponsible for
the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act').
HavingsatisfiedmyselfthattheaccountsoftheCompanyarenotrequiredtobeauditedunderPart16ofthe2006 Act
andareeligibleforindependentexamination,I reportinrespectofmyexaminationofyourcharity'saccountsas carried
outunderSection145oftheCharitiesAct2011('the2011Act').IncarryingoutmyexaminationIhavefollowed the
Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act.
Independent examiner's statement
Ihavecompletedmyexamination.Iconfirmthatnomattershavecometomyattentioninconnectionwith the
examination giving me cause to believe:
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by Section 386 of the 2006 Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or
3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or
4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)).
I have no concernsand have come acrossno othermattersin connectionwith the examinationto whichattention should

BASIS OF PREPARING THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

preparedinaccordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReportingbyCharities:Statement of
RecommendedPracticeapplicableto charitiespreparingtheir accountsin accordancewith the Financial Reporting
StandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS102)(effective1January2019)',Financial Reporting
Standard102'TheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland'andthe Companies
Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

INCOME
All incomeis recognisedin the Statementof FinancialActivitiesonce the charityhas entitlementto the funds,it is
probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Voluntaryincomereceivedbywayofgrants,donationsandgiftsisincludedinfullintheStatementof Financial
Activitieswhen receivable.Grants, where entitlementis not conditionalon the delivery of a specif performance by
the charity, are recognised when the charity becomes unconditionally entitled to the grant.
Investment income is included where receivable.
Incomingresourcesfrom grants,where relatedrelatedto performanceand specificdeliverables,are accounted for
as the charity earns the right to consideration by performance.
EXPENDITURE
Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructiveobligationcommitting the
charitytothatexpenditure,itisprobablethatatransferofeconomicbenefitswillberequiredinsettlement and
the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably.
Expenditureisaccountedforonanaccrualsbasisandhasbeenclassifiedunderheadingsthataggregateall cost
relatedto the category.Where costs cannotbe directlyattributedto particularheadingsthey have been allocated
to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Governancecostsincludethosecostsassociatedwithmeetingtheconstitutionalandstatutoryrequirements of
the charity and include fees and costs linked to the strategic management of the charity.

CLASSIFICATION OF FINANCIAL LIABILITIES

classified as payable within one year are not amortised.
Debt instruments are subsequently carried at amortised cost, using the effective interest rate method.
Tradecreditorsareobligationstopayforgoodsorservicesthathavebeenacquiredintheordinarycourse of
businessfromsuppliers.Amountspayableareclassifiedas currentliabilitiesif paymentis duewithinoneyear or
less.Ifnot,theyarepresentedasnon-currentliabilities.Tradecreditorsarerecognisedinitiallyat transaction
price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
TANGIBLE FIXED ASSETS
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.
Fixtures and fittings - 25% on cost
STOCKS
Stocksarevaluedat thelowerof costandnetrealisablevalue,aftermakingdueallowanceforobsoleteand slow
moving items.
TAXATION
The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.
FUND ACCOUNTING
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the financial statements.
HIRE PURCHASE AND LEASING COMMITMENTS
RentalspaidunderoperatingleasesarechargedtotheStatementofFinancialActivitiesonastraightline basis
over the period of the lease.
PENSION COSTS AND OTHER POST-RETIREMENT BENEFITS
The charitablecompanyoperatesa definedcontributionpensionscheme.Contributionspayableto the charitable
company's pension scheme are charged to the Statement of Financial Activities in the period to which they relate.
