LittleSaintsPreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommitteeLtd'sprincipalactivityistheprovisionof pre-school
nursery services.
Ensuring our work delivers our aims
We reviewouraims,objectivesandactivitieseachyear.Thisreviewlooksat whatwe achievedandtheoutcomes of
ourworkintheprevious12 months.Thereviewlooksatthesuccessof eachkeyactivityandthebenefitsthey have
broughtto thosegroupsof peoplewe are set up to help.The reviewalsohelpsus to ensurethatouraim, objectives
and activities remained focused on our stated purposes.
WehavereferredtotheguidancecontainedintheCharityCommission'sgeneralguidanceonpublicbenefit when
reviewingouraimsandobjectivesandinplanningourfutureactivities.Inparticular,thetrusteesconsider how
planned activities will contribute to the aims and objectives they have set.
The focus of our work
Amongthe pre-schoolnurseryservicesofferedby LittleSaintsPreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommitteeLtd are
the provision of appropriate play, education and care facilities.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE Charitable activities
How our activities deliver public benefit
Insettingourobjectivesandplanningouractivitiesthetrusteeshavegivencarefulconsiderationtothe Charity
Commission's general guidance on public benefit, including the guidance on public benefit and fee charging.
Our main activitiesandwho we try to helpare describedbelow.All of ourcharitableactivitiesfocuson ourability to
enhance, develop and educate children primarily under statutory school age.
Duringtheyearended31March2023LittleSaintsPreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommitteeLtdhas been
successfulinencouragingparentstounderstandandprovidefortheneedsoftheirchildrenthroughthe various
pre-school nursery services provided.
Amongtheseservicesaretheprovisionofcommunitygroupsandtheprovisionofappropriateplay,education and
carefacilitiesandtrainingcoursesandparentshavebeenencouragedtobecomeinvolvedintheactivitiesof the
groups provided by Little Saints Preschool Stourbridge Management Committee Ltd during the year.
As a result,thegroupsandfacilitiesofferedbyLittleSaintsPreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommitteeLtd have
offered opportunities for all children regardless of their race, culture, religion, means and ability.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves policy
Itisthepolicyofthetrusteestomaintainalevelofreservessufficienttoensurethecontinuedoperationof the
charity's activities.
Financial review
TheStatementofFinancialActivitiesfortheyearended31March2023showsincomingresourcesof£98,042 (2022:
£114,059) and resources expended of £105,748 (2022: £126,454) , resulting in a deficit of £7,706 (2022 £12,395).
ThereservesareprimarilytocoverthedevelopmentandfutureoperationalexpensesofLittleSaints Preschool
Stourbridge Management Committee Ltd.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
LittleSaintsPreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommitteeLtdisacompanylimitedbyguarantee (registered
companynumber07490493)whichwasincorporatedon12January2011andachievedcharitablestatuson29 May
2012 (registered charity number 1147493).
Thecompanywasestablishedundera Memorandumof Associationwhichestablishedtheobjectsandpowersof the
charitable company and is governed under its Articles of Association.
Asperaresolutiondated7March2012thecompany'smemberspassedaresolutiontoadopttheArticles of
Associationfora charitablecompanywhichwas forwardedto CompaniesHouseandanapplicationwas madeto the
Charity Commission in order for the company to become a charitable company.
FollowingtheadoptionoftheseArticlesofAssociation,intheeventofthecompanybeingwoundupmembers are
required to contribute an amount not exceeding £10.
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
As set out in the charity'sArticlesof Associationnew trusteesare appointedby the boardof trusteesafter applying to
the company in the form required by the trustees and after being approved by the board of trustees.
Alltrusteesgivetheirtimevoluntarilyandreceivenobenefitsfromthecharity.Anyexpensesreclaimedfrom the
charity are set out in the notes to the financial statements.
Organisational structure
LittleSaintsPreschoolStourbridgeManagementCommitteeLtdisorganisedsothatitsmanagementcommittee of
trustees meet regularly to manage its affairs and formulate policy.
A schemeofdelegationisinplaceanddaytodayresponsibilityfortheprovisionofthecharity'sservicesrestwith a
playroomleader.Theplayroomleaderis responsibleforensuringthatthecharitydeliverstheservicesspecified and
thatkeyperformanceindicatorsaremet.Theplayroomleaderalsohasresponsibilityforthedaytoday operational
managementofthecharity,individualsupervisionofthestaffteamandensuringthattheteamcontinueto develop
their skills and working practices in line with good practice.
Induction and training of new trustees
Newtrusteesundergoanorientationdaytobriefthemonlegalobligationsundercharitylaw,thecontentof the
charity'sconstitution,thecommitteeanddecision-makingprocessesandtherecentfinancialperformanceof the
charity.Duringtheinductiondaytheymeetkeyemployeesandothertrustees.Trusteesareencouragedto attend
appropriate external training events where these will facilitate the understanding of their role.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Little Saints Preschool Stourbridge Management Committee Ltd ('the Company')
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 March 2023.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity'strusteesof the Company(andalsoits directorsfor the purposesof companylaw)youare responsible
for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act').
HavingsatisfiedmyselfthattheaccountsoftheCompanyarenotrequiredtobeauditedunderPart16ofthe 2006
Actandareeligibleforindependentexamination,I reportinrespectof my examinationof yourcharity'saccounts as
carriedoutunderSection145oftheCharitiesAct2011('the2011Act').IncarryingoutmyexaminationI have
followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act.
Independent examiner's statement
Ihavecompletedmyexamination.Iconfirmthatnomattershavecometomyattentioninconnectionwith the
examination giving me cause to believe:
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by Section 386 of the 2006 Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or
3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or
4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)).
Ihavenoconcernsandhavecomeacrossnoothermattersinconnectionwiththeexaminationtowhich attention
should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

BASIS OF PREPARING THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
The financialstatementsof the charitablecompany,whichis a publicbenefitentityunderFRS 102,have been
preparedinaccordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReportingbyCharities: Statement
ofRecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththe Financial
ReportingStandardapplicablein the UK and Republicof Ireland(FRS 102) (effective1 January2019)', Financial
ReportingStandard102 'The FinancialReportingStandardapplicablein the UK and Republicof Ireland'and the
Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARD 102 - REDUCED DISCLOSURE EXEMPTIONS
Thecharitablecompanyhastakenadvantageofthefollowingdisclosureexemptionsinpreparing these
financialstatements,aspermittedbyFRS102'TheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUK and
Republic of Ireland':
the requirements of Section 7 Statement of Cash Flows.
INCOME
All incomeis recognisedin the Statementof FinancialActivitiesoncethe charityhasentitlementto the funds,
it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Voluntaryincome received by way of grants,donationsand gifts is includedin full in the Statementof Financial
Activitieswhenreceivable.Grants,whereentitlementisnotconditionalonthedeliveryofa specif
performance by the charity, are recognised when the charity becomes unconditionally entitled to the grant.
Investment income is included where receivable.
Incomingresourcesfromgrants,whererelatedrelatedtoperformanceandspecificdeliverables, are
accounted for as the charity earns the right to consideration by performance.
EXPENDITURE
Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructiveobligationcommitting the
charitytothatexpenditure,itisprobablethatatransferofeconomicbenefitswillberequiredin settlement
and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably.
Expenditureisaccountedforonanaccrualsbasisandhasbeenclassifiedunderheadingsthataggregate all
costrelatedtothecategory.Wherecostscannotbe directlyattributedtoparticularheadingstheyhave been
allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Governancecostsincludethosecostsassociatedwithmeetingtheconstitutionalandstatutory requirements
of the charity and include fees and costs linked to the strategic management of the charity.
BASIC FINANCIAL ASSETS
Basicfinancialassets,whichincludedebtorsandcashandbankbalances,are initiallymeasuredat transaction
priceincludingtransactioncostsandaresubsequentlycarriedatamortisedcostusingtheeffective interest
methodunlessthearrangementconstitutesa financingtransaction,wherethetransactionis measuredat the

CLASSIFICATION OF FINANCIAL LIABILITIES
Basicfinancialliabilities,includingcreditorsandbankloansareclassifiedasdebt,areinitiallyrecognised at
transactionpriceunlessthearrangementconstitutesafinancingtransaction,wherethedebtinstrument is
measuredatthepresentvalueofthefuturepaymentsdiscountedatmarketrateofinterest. Financial
liabilities classified as payable within one year are not amortised.
Debt instruments are subsequently carried at amortised cost, using the effective interest rate method.
Tradecreditorsareobligationstopayforgoodsorservicesthathavebeenacquiredintheordinarycourse of
businessfrom suppliers.Amountspayableare classifiedas currentliabilitiesif paymentis due withinone year
orless.Ifnot,theyarepresentedasnon-currentliabilities.Tradecreditorsarerecognisedinitially at
transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
TANGIBLE FIXED ASSETS
Depreciationis providedat the followingannualrates in orderto write off each asset over its estimated useful
life.
Fixtures and fittings- 25% on cost
STOCKS
Stocksarevaluedatthelowerofcostandnetrealisablevalue,aftermakingdueallowanceforobsolete and
slow moving items.
TAXATION
The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.
FUND ACCOUNTING
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Furtherexplanationofthenatureandpurposeofeachfundisincludedinthenotestothe financial
statements.
HIRE PURCHASE AND LEASING COMMITMENTS
Rentalspaidunderoperatingleases are chargedto the Statementof FinancialActivitieson a straightline basis
over the period of the lease.
PENSION COSTS AND OTHER POST-RETIREMENT BENEFITS
Thecharitablecompanyoperatesadefinedcontributionpensionscheme.Contributionspayableto the
charitablecompany'spensionschemearechargedtotheStatementofFinancialActivitiesintheperiod to
which they relate.
COMPANY STATUS
Thecharityis a companylimitedbyguarantee.Themembersof thecompanyarethetrusteesnamedon the
companyinformationpage.In the event of the charitybeing wound up the liabilityin respect of the guarantee
is limited to £10 per member of the charity.
