Taking an active role in crime reduction initiatives in Dorset, working with vulnerable people within this area, liaising with the police and crime prevention agencies to address the causes of crime in this area and supporting and encouraging the rehabilitation of offenders.
Objects: • To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public In The Bailiwick Of Dorset, In Partnership With The Dorset Police, The Protection Of People And Property From, And The Prevention Of, Criminal Acts, In Particular But Not Exclusively, By The Provision Of A Transport And Refuge Service For People Who Are Vulnerable As A Result Of Being Intoxicated, Injured, Lost Or Unable To Get Home After Social Events.• To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Working With People In The Bailiwick Of Dorset Who Are Socially Excluded On The Grounds, In Particular But Not Exclusively, Of Their Unemployment; Financial Hardship; Substance Abuse Or Dependency Including Alcohol And Drugs; Poor Educational Or Skills Attainment; Relationship And Family Breakdown; Or Who Are Within, Or Have Experienced, The Public Care Or Penal System Or Due To Crime (Either As A Victim Of Crime Or As An Offender Rehabilitating Into Society) And To Relieve The Needs Of Such People And Assist Them To Integrate Into Society By:o Providing Them With An Opportunity To Build Capacity By Establishing And Growing Training Programs Via Local Service Providers; Ando Providing Social And Recreational Facilities And Events Involving The Local Community.• To Advance In Life And Relieve Needs Of Young People, In Particular Those Who Have Need By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Poverty Or Social And Economic Circumstances, Through Providing Support And Recreational And Leisure Time Activities Which Develop Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities With A View To Improving The Conditions Of Life Of Such Persons And Enable Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsible Individuals.
