Hair Shows, a series of uniqug ch8ri1y fundraising ev$nts support8d by tha haircar8 Industry inlernalionally
and founded on the show held in London each ygarsince 1983. Shows h&ve also begn s18g8d in Bologna,
Chicago, M¢xfcow, Seoul, Tokyo and Vignng. Th8 shows h8ve 811 baen d8di¢ated to supporting IlJ8 WQrt( of
the UK charity, Leuk88mia & Lymphoma Res88rch (LLR) and charities Ih8t advance rgsearch and
Iraatmenl of leukaemia end rel81od cancers ol the bl¢)od in the other countries in which Ihay werg Stag8d.

Volunteers
The Foundation depends heavily upon the contribution of volunteers - their time, their gxpertise. their money.
The day to day running of the Foundation is carried out on an entirely voluntary basis by the Tru8tees with the
8sgi$lance of stsff generously provided by our Chairman, Mr A J Rrlzo, al nil cost lo the Foundation.
The annual AllernatW8 Hair Show, currently the Foundation's main source of Income, comprises a spectacular array of
on-stage prtsjuctions by hairdressing artisb'c tearns from across the world who give their setvice5 enlirgty free of
charge.

Due lo the Covid pandemic we again had lo stage the Show in virtual formal and, alas, the pro￿￿$ generated for our
chosen charib'es were yel further down on the levels we have been used to.
The Trustèès extend profound thanks lo our loyal online audience. the 8pon80rs, and all who supported the Show in
any way.
A¢hlovements for the year
We are disappointed that, due to finan¢lal constralnts, th9 Foundation was onty able lo make grants lotalling £21,000
during the year.
In an effort lo rèvlve Ihg fortunes of the Foundatign our long-term sponsor, The Anthony and Pat Foundation.
generously granted a special sponsorship of £35,000 to cover the cost of hiring a consultant lo review activity and
explore ways of maximizing tha Foundations potential in the hairdressing community. At Iht lime of writing, this
venture is not producing tha fruits hoFod for and 8018 unlikety lo contlnu8 In thg following year.

We are aware of th• Charity Commi881on'8 public beneff( guidelin88 and Gon¥idgr that the work we have lunded during
the course of the yèar falls entirely within those guidoline$.
Flnanclal Rovl•w and R•••rv••
We do not grant or commit fund8 beyond our actual financial resources. Our day lo day runnlng cost8 are generously
cov8r8d by our Chairman, Mr R Yzzo and h18 buslne$$ operation. The 8tsle of tho Foundation's financos 18. thereforè,
sound.
We convert funds raised and glven into charitable grants for public bonefil as 600n as is pra¢lic8bly posslble and
reserve sufficient funds lo cover the venue deposit and insurance for the next year's Allernats've Halr Show which Is
currenlly our main sourcg of income.
We are hopeful that we shall be able lo retum to 8 full Ilv8 Show in 2022 and so g¢nerate a much high8r level of fund8
for our charitable causes. Plans are alraady underway for the Show though we are having Some dlfficuty In securing
suitable venue at a favourable hire fee. The dale is Sunday the 9th October 2022.

paucity of bank interest rates the amount recelved In Inter8St was mlnlmal.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2022.
Respectlve responsibilitles of trustees and examiner
The charity's Iruslees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's Iruslees consider that
an audit is not required for this year under section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 Ilhe 2011 Actl and that an
independent examination is needed.

the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees con￿rning any such matters. The prO￿dureS
undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is
given as to whether the accounts present a 'lrue and fair view, and the report is limited to those mallers set out
