page 10, and comply wlh the eharity's governing documentation, applicable law and the

We praise God ftsr his splrilual, practical and ffinaThcL41 provision throughout 2023. Ai the ￿t￿l([e
were well organised by people freety giwno of their time and abl1rt￿S. The Church tsam18aders
C(￿rdinate these activities and meet iegul8rfy with the Senior Leadership to suggest and makè
recommenda￿On$. As mentioned in the Trustees report in 2022, LM)th Richard Angell and
Michelle Williams joined the Senior Leadership Team on 1 May 2023. The Stsff team was also
strengthened by the addition of Mr D Hawken on 1 November 2023 as a trainee lamity and
outrèach worker. We werè 88d to say goodbye to Mrs A Taylor-Robert$ ag 8 staff mèmber and
Senior teader when she left for new pastures al the end of May 2024.
Thv* chuTch conlinues to meet ¥n iwo physical locations. Cinderford and Ross-on•Wye. and it has
WOTked èxtr8rnely well. It means that the new fledgeling church in Ross benefflts from accesslng
resou￿$ of the larger more established church in Cinderford and it 15 8atisfying to see Ihe
growth 28 a re3ult. Due to our continual investment in online technology our Sunday 5eNices are
ngw interactive be¢w£en the CinderfoiEI and Ross Ghur¢h locations. Part of the s8rvice now
come8 from each venue and has helped to e￿al& a wonderfulty engaging dynam¢c which is
proving to be greaNy appreciated by both congragatityn8.
Our online church continues YouTube. Fa￿bOOk 8nd Instagram but now that Covtd is not the
Strh¢ting facior that it was, we are using it more as a shop window for new people to explore as
a firsl slep before comlng lo visit, and for th¢188 who are unable to joln us on Sundays due to
illness. Therefor8, it ctsnunues to play an Important part in church lrfe.
The Ross ¢hurch building built in 1866 has had little money spent on il from SO ye*s so it was in
fteed of some sefiOUS rnaIntenan￿ and refutbtshmeDt This was started in March 2023 when
£12,000 wa5 spent on maintenance for the roof. There is also a great need for new toilets.
repairs to an outside w￿1 and we would like to make the patio area morg usable. This would
6nable us to tske better advantage of the location with a large footl811 passin9 by eaoh day for a
coffee shop s￿e ministry to sarve the oommunty in the future. In September 2024 work started
on the ioilet8 and palio.
Our Cindèrford building is belng used mo81 days ol the week lor a ￿￿e fangè of events whleh
brfng spirftual Ilfe and practical help indudlng FocMJbank, Alcoholics Antsnymous and Nar￿)ll¢S
Anonymous to our communty. Thè Ross building is also increasingty belng used for the sarne
purpose tOC*, including a cornmunty cafe each ￿￿k, earers group and men'3 and women's
mini%ty m6etings in bothy Cinderford and Ross.

The Trustees have a pdicy to retaln three months core expendfture and redundancy wsts in
reseNes at any one tirne to protecl againslvol8ti1ty ol incorn8 8nd retain reserves of £45,ODO.
This has increase(S trom Ihe preV￿u$ yearto reflecl greater runnkng costs and commitments. At
any one time we aim to maintain a minimum balance of £2,000 in the HSBC current account so
that any emergency or significant expenditu￿ may be paid without embarrassment. The
Trustees a￿ aware that res8rwe& a￿ currentty above this threshold at the year 8nd but recoynise
that the reserves also include a fund set up for much needed signthcanl future developments in
LN)th CiThlerford and Ross and th1$ fund Is bein9 built up as seed money to kick start thw off.
The trustee have deskJnated a separate Projects Fund whlch has been inC￿sed to £100.0(K) in
the year after a further transfer of £40.000 during the year. This fund has been set aside for
larger projects to fvture proof the ¢hurch whlch the church has yel to d•￿de upon.

continue5 to be contracled to work forthe church on an emplyed basis but Mrs A taylor-RobertS,
who was employed 8 Development and Thgilal Director throughout 2023, left our employment
on 31 May 2024. Throughout 2023 an assistant had been employed for 10 hours a week to he
wrth chvrch administration, but also came to an end on 6 June 2024. However Mi D Hawken
began employment as a Irdinee famity and outreach workw based in the Ross localion on 1
November 2023 and continuos to be empwd In thts rok.

During Ihe year ourgenerdl incorne in(¥eased from £143,559 in 2022 to £185,856 lor th6 year
ending 31 DecBrnber 2023. Thi8 is thanks lo some largè one off gifts which the trustees agreed
to transfer lo the Project Fund. This is a designated fund set-asKle foT l(rture dèvelopment. As 8
resvtt the d88Tgn8ted fvnd currentty stands at £100,0(k).. the tFUStees intsnd to grow this fvrthor
a5 gNing to the charfty allows. Genèral fund expendilltre incraasèd from e106,453 to £132,732 In
the yearending 31 December 2023. The n)ain reasons being in¢reased empbyment expenses
and much higher ulility tsjsts.
The chathy malntalns three restric*ed lunds. The traning fijnd which rw£Ned £1.198 01 in￿rne
