prayerful and or prattical and or financial relief from hardship and assistance in accordance
with the Church's 8rant-makin8 pollq, as set out below.

The Trustees make grdnts to Indlvlduals and or8anlsatlons In accordance wlth the Church's Objects..
to support mlsslonarles, mlsslonary organlsatlons or other churches engaged in the
furtherance of the Christian falth operatlng In the United Kingdom or elsewhere: or
to relleve Indlvldva15 from particular circumstances of hardship.
Applications are recelved elther by dlrert approach to the Church or from members of the
Congregatlons or their officers based on personal contatt with or knowledge of particular situatlons.
Church Officers conslder each applicatlon and make grants based on merlt at regular meetings.
The Church also allocates IO% of Its General Fund Income to grant-maklng to 5UPPOrt elther
missionarfes and other Christian organi5ations in furtherance of the Christlan faith, or individuals in
need of support for the relief of individual hardshlp. These funds are sometlmes used in combination
with direct appeals for funds to the Congregatlon{sl, particularfy in the case of emergency relief for
people suffering from natural dlsasters. Appeals raised in this manner are treated as restricted funds.

under the legal framework of the Company. Grace Church Wakefield al￿ have responsibillty for
premlses In Eastmoor, Wakefleld, and are lookin8 to recommence the churth work In that orea.
Durlng the perlod covered by thls repor¢ the Church has contlnued Its charftable WO￿ In the
cofflmunlty and wldef area and have experlenced both a number of encourn8ements and certaln
dlsappolntments durlng the year. We have experlenced how God Is W0￿1n8 throu8h us, and In us,
through these events some of whlch are detslled below:

We have contlnued and developed the efflployment of our mlnlsty team, enabllng us to fulfll our
prlmary objectlves. More detalls of some of the Indlvlduals and actl¥ltles are 8lven below.
Indlvlduols
Our pastor contlnues to Pfeach and teach ID a varlety of way5 on Sundays and meets up wlth
members of the church and non-chrlstlans. encourailng and sharln8 the gospel wlth them.
He was Involved In plans for the Chrl$tmas events In 2023 and the annu•l youn8 people's camp
{MAD Camp} In July 2024. He also, togetherwtth volunteers, helps vlslt the slck In the church.
Our female mlnlstry support asslstant has coDtlnued lo serve the church, helpin8 wlth youth
work, 5UPPOrting the pastor wlth the weekly Sunday mlnlstry, and COThordlnailn8 the
volunteers who are involved with Sunday se￿Ic¢s. She was also involveil with the
conslderable or8anlsallon for the Chrfstmas events In 2023 and also shared the organlsatlon
and leadershlp of the annuil youn8 people's camp (MAD Cjmp) In July 2024.
Our part-time church family worker contlnued to Ilalse wlth and pray for farnllles, attendln8
the church to Identlfy any needs and support that would be helpful. Her role ended in July
2024 and a small Broup of men and women, led by the pastor, has been created to contlnue
and develop the work she started.
Artivities and events
We contlnued wlth our day-tlme Sharlng Skllls group, that provldes women from the local
community from a ran8e of back8rounds and holdlng a varkty of rellglous vlews wlth the
opportunity to chaL seek advlce, leam new skllls and develop frlendships. The group accepts
referralsfrom the local a￿hOrItyand has partklpated In local authorlty Inltlatlves. An optlonal
bible study Is run afterwards by our mlnlsty support asslstsnt.

The church ran a Nativity Ser4icÈ over Christmas for children and families as well as
Christmas Day service. We also ran a Christmas Communlty Fun Aftemoon at our bulldln8 and
ran varlous crafts and activitles.
We had two bèptlsm servlces In the year. In October we ￿ptIsed a tsena8er and a youn8
woman, and In June we baptlsed a man in hls late seventles.
Thechurch has made grants and awards tovarlous Indlvlduals. mlsslonarles and organ5satlons.
We currently Set aslde a notional amount of IO% of our 8eneral fund Income for thls purpose.
Mlsslonarles are 5UPPOrted in the UK, Europe, Asia and othèr worldwlde misslons. Speclal
collectlons were made for those sufferln8 from the floods in Brazll, a Romanlan who needed
surgery on hls hand, and for one of our supported mlsslonarle&
Our maln meetln8 contlnues wlth onllne optSons stlll avallable. Fellowshlp lunches were held
after the momln8 servlce once every two month
The church enjoys the rnember5hlp •nd fellowshlp of people whose personal and cultural
orl8lns Include the UK and other countrles such as Con80, Iran, Chlna, Jamalca, Kazakhstan,
Nl8erla, Paklstan, and the Phlllpplnes.
The chU￿h has contSnued to operate a wlde range of youth clubs for all J8es. We refer to
these as Blble Éxplorers, JollyTots, Good News Club and Frlday Club. The children and young
adults who have attended these Eroups range In age from 3 to 20+. The actlvltSes normally
centre on an element of study or explanation of the Bible and other acllvitles ran8ln8 from
qulzzes to outdoor games, team actlvltles and the occaslonal 8BQ.
In September, due to the majorlty of the toddlers reachlng school age, we stopped runnlng
Jolly Tots.
We have been encoura8ed by the large number of young people who are corning to these
artlvltles although numbers attendlng rhe Frfday Good News Club for chlldren of prlmary
school age have been small but have Increased overthe year.
MAD Camp (operated Jolntly by Mirfield Evangelical Church ("MEC) and Dewsbury
Evan8ellcal Church) Is a youth camp for chlldren aged 11-17 whlchls held for one week durin8
the Summer at a campslte near Bamiouth in Wales and continued a8aln In 2023. Thls event Is
open to youth group attendee5, the local community and other churche5. Hlstorically, thi5
artivity has operated for many years as an unlncorporated assoclatlon overseen by varlous
members of MEC and Dewsbury Evangelical Church {hence MaD Camp). In June 2024 the
trnstees of the Church voted to adopt th15 actlvlty and to formally accounl for the related
income and expenditure as a joint venture wtth MEC. The Trustees of MEC have also slmllarlv
a8reed to be part of the joint venture at a separate meetlng.

A small Broup of members met fortnlghtly at Ro￿1 Court Chrlstlan Houslng Scheme In Mlrfletd
to support those who are hiyjsebound.
A new mlnlstry called Tlme For A Cuppa, was set up In September to reach elderly folK
particularly those who are lonely. Tly meet everysecond and f(X￿hTUesdaY momin8 at our
bulldln8.
Grnce Churth Wak•fi•ld
Grace Churth Wakefleld has contlnued to pursue the chafftvs alms thro￿ a range of actlvltle5 both
in and around Lupset, F￿nshaW and Eastmoor areas and acmss the uty.
Our Sunday mornin8 con8re8ation durin8 the per4)d c4)ntkwed to see ￿gUlar new people attend.
Overall attendance stayed around about the same fi8ure of approxlmately 60 people of varlous a8es
and backgrounds.
Our 'SOUL' Friday nl8ht youth 8roup k)creased In numbers sll8htty, between 12.15 hl8h school
students. Our parent toddler 8roup Growlw Places has become more lknnly est•bllshed, wlth
regular group attendln8 approthutety 12 each week

The Church's annual accounts (titled "Financial Statements.), which have been filed at Companies
ouse, have been produced separately from the Church's Annual Report (thls document). These two
documents collectlvely fom the Church's Annual Report and Accounts and should be ￿ad In
conjunctlon wlth each other.

donatlons. Many member5 8ive under the Gfft Ald scheme and the Church Is permltted to reclalm
Income tsx on thelr 8lvln8. Some donatlons are 8lven wlth a speciflc purpose such as a partlcular
actlvlty or projert. These are managed by means of restrlcted funds In the accounts.

Ourlng the year, the Church operated two restrlcted funds In relatlon to the support of asslstant
pastors at Dewsbury Ev4n8ellcal Church and Grace Church Wakefield:
The Asslstant Pastor Fund DEC was set up to recelve g1ft5 In order to fund the tralnln8 of an
Asslstant Pastor for Dewsbury Evan8ellcal Churth. Followlng the re5i8nation of the previous
pastor, Danlel Grlmwade, the church's asslstant pastor was offered and attepted the posltlon
of full-tlme pastor. Accordln8ly, since l October 2023, there has been no asslstant pastor. The
costs Incurred durlng the year relate to some flnal costs relatln8 to the prevlousasslstant. Thls
fund has now fvlfilled its 0ri8lnal purpose and Is now Closed.
The Asslsiant Partor Fund GCW was set up to recelve 8lfts In order to fund the tralnlng of an
Asslstant Pastornrainee Worker for Grace Church Wakefield. During the year, the fund
expenditure exceeded the avallable Income and the resultlne shortfall was met wlth a transfer
fr(xn the Grace Church Wakefield Fund of £12,389. The assistant pastor at Grace Church
Wakefleld has re￿ntlY been appolnted to the posltlon of ￿Int full-tlme pastor. Accordlnqly.
slnce l Ortober 2024, there has been no asslstsnt pastor. As a result, this fund has now
fulfllled Its orlglnal purpose and Is now ¢1¢￿d wlth effect from 30 September 2024.
Furthermore, the Grac• Churth Wake￿Id Fund which was set up to manage the Income and
expendlture of Grace Church Wakefleld has, hlstorlcally, been a restrlcted fund to rln8-fence these
funds and avoid COvmln8lln8 wlth the Beneral fvnd of Dewsbury Evan8elical Church. The trustees
reco8nlse that, In reallty, thesefunds are the unrestricted general funds of Grace Church and to reflect
thls, whlle stlll avoldlng ctrmlngllng, the balance of funds held by Grace Church Wakefield have been
rtrclassified by means of a fund transfer as an unrestrlcted deslgnated fund wlth effert from

The Property Fwnd represents the freehold proixrty which is Dewsbury Evangelic81 Church located at
Central Offices, Central Styttl Dewsiwry to be used for furtherance of the company's principal objectiv¢$.
The Outreach Worker Support Fund was set up to rcceive gifts for the support of full-lime workers
involved in evangelistic activities in the Ikwsbury and sum)undin8 areas. In October 2023, the full-ttme
worker then employed resigned an￿ since that the churGh has had no employed workers. The In￿Me
in the year T¢latts to interest received on the fimd bal8DC¢ and the costs relate to ffsidual expenses. The
trustees are considering the next steps with rc8ard to outreach and the employment of an outreach worker.
Th¢ AulstAnt Pastor Fund DEC was w up to receive gifts in order to fund the training of an Assistant
Pastor for Dewsbury Evangclical Church. Following the resignalion of thc previous paslor. the church's
assistani Pastor w&8 offered and accepted the FM)sition of full_time pastor. Accordingly, since l Octobcr
2Q23, there has becn no wistantpastor. The costs incurred during thc year r¢late to Some fi￿1 costs relatin8
to the previous assistsnt. This h&$ now fulfilled its ori8inal purpox and is now closed.

Pastorifrninee Worker for Grace Church Wakefield. During the year, the fund cxpenditure exceeded the
available incomc and the re8ultin8 shortfall wa8 met with a ¢ransfer from the Gra¢e Church Wakefield Fund
of£15250.
The assistanl p&8tor at Grace Church Wakcfiekl has recently bcett appointed to the ￿SItIOn of joint full-
lim¢ pastor. Accordingly, since l (ktober 2024, thcre h&8 been no assistant pastor. As A r¢sull this fimd
has now fulfilled its original purFW and is now elosed with effect from 30 Semember 2024.
Exstmoor Church Fund WLS set up wben the church premises, owned by the Tn￿te¢S of Wgkefield
Evan8elical Free Church siluated on Malham Roa4 E8stmoor, Wakefield. were gifted lo the company. The
trdnsfer of the property was made on 26 Febnwy 2019. The company pasd for the majority of th¢ legal fees
involved in the transfer and has now taken reSpO￿81b11ity forthe Nnning costs of that building. The intention
of th¢ t￿￿te¢S since then h&s been to eslablish a new church plant on the Eastmoor estate in Wakefield and

MgD Camp Fund is a new fund created duting the year. For many years, members of both the Church and
Mirfield Evangellcal Church have op¢rated an ammthl youth camp. Historiolly, this Camp h&$ opernted &$
an unincoryoTated association. On 24 June 2024 the t￿￿t￿S agreed to f0m￿llY adoFrf thc activity and to
a¢eount for it as a joint vcnttwc. The tsustets of Mirfield Evangelical Chujth voted separately.
The annual camp for 2024 was held between 18 July 2024 and 3 August 2024. The balancc of funds held
over from previous years was £l?18 and this h&s beth transfetred as a donation of £659 to each church.
