OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The objectives of Shah Baquibillah Orphanage Ti'ust are wholly for the public benefit.
The pi'incipal aims of the charity are:
l. To advance the education of children and young people in Bangladesh by such means as
the trustees may fi'om time to time determine.
2. To prevent or relieve poverty in Bangladesh by providin&, grants of financial assistance.

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclos¢ with

for safeguarding th¢ assets of the organisation and hence for taking reasonable steps for the
prevention and detection of fraud aiid other ii'regularities.

Shah Baquibillah Orphanag¢ Trust continues its dedication to serving orphans and running of
orphanage in Kulauri Bangladesh. During the period of 29 April 2023 to 28 April 2024 a total
amount of £36.456 was transfei'i'ed to Prime Bank Ltd, Kulaura Branch, Moulvibazar, Account
number- 22021050001139, First Security Islami Bank Moulvibazar, Account number-
012213100000353, South East Bank Ltd, Kulaiira Branch, Moulvibazar, Account Number-
00121000?1696, Prime Bank Ltd, Kulaura, Account number- 22021050001139, South East
Bank Ltd, Kulaura Branch, Moulvibazar. Account Nuinber-0012100022792, Islami Bank
Bangladesh Ltd, Kulaura Branch, Moulvibazar, Account number-20502566700289517 to fund
the charitable activities in Bangladesh.
All chai'itable activities were supervised aiid controlled by the trustees aiid money was spent
fi'om that bank account. The main charitable activity during this accounting period was as
follows.

Donation to regyistei'ed orphanage to look after the orphan childi'en
Every year donated to flood victim in Bangladesh
All expenditure carried out in Bangladesh was in line with the policies of the charity and
documented accordingly.
ENDOWMENT (WAQF)
The trustees have negotiated a discounted purchase of a new build property in Northampton as
their first asset for the Waqf. This will geiierate long term income for the charity, A dcposit
£ I I 0,000 has becn paid and the full payinenl will be made when tlie property will b¢ hand¢d
over to ihe charity. The trustees will appeal to the donors and well-wishers to assist in setting up
the Wdqf iiiid complete the purchase of the first income gyen¢ratiiig ass¢t of the charity.

TO EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The charity's Trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of
the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act), and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
exainine the accounts under section 145(1) of the Charities Act 2011,
to follow the procedui'es laid down in the geiieral Directioiis giveii by the Charity
Coinmission (under section 145(5)(b) of the 201 l Act), and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

My examiiiatioii was Lai'ried out in accordaiice with general directioiis given by the Charity
Commission. An exainination includes a review ot. the accounting records kept by the charity
and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of

concerning any such matters. The procedur¢s undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would be required in an audit, and consequeiitly no opinion is given as to whethei. the accounts
present a 'true and fair, view, and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement
below.

NTING POLICIES
Basis of Accountin
The accounts have bcen prepared on the histoi'ic cost Convention. The aLcounts are in
accoi'dance with applicable accounting standards, the Charities SORP (FRS 102)
(AccountinLy and Reporting by Charities) and comply with the Charities (Accounts and
Reports) Regulations 2008 issued under the Charities Act 1993
Donation and Grants
Income from donations and gi'ants including capital grants is included in incoming resources
when these are receivable, except as follows:
Wheii doiioi3 specify that doiiations and grants given to the charity must be used in
future accounting periods, the incoiiie is d¢fei'r¢d until those periods.
When donors impose conditions. which must be fulfilled before the charity becomes
entitled to use such income, the income is deferred and not included in incoining
resources until the pre-conditions for use have been met.
When donors specify that donations and grants, including capital grants, are for restrict¢d
purposes, which do not amount to pre-conditions i-egarding entitlement, this incom¢ is
included in incoming resources of restricted funds wheii receivable.

All expenditure is included on an accrual basis and is recognised when there is a legFal or
constructive obligation to pay t.or expenditure. All costs have been directly attributed to one
of the functional cate(rories of resources expeiided. The charity is not registered for VAT and
accordingly exp¢nditure is shown gross of irr¢covei'able VAT.
2. Income
Income represents money coll¢cted from public. No grants were rec¢ived from any government
or any other charity organisation during this period.
