General & Trustees
Noddfa Evangelical Church, Pontarddulais, is an independent evangelical church situated in Pontarddulais in the county of Swansea, and is registered as a charity in England and Wales, No. 1146934.
The Church Officers are the Charity Trustees. The Trustees for the 2024-2025 financial period were Mr. Eifion Perkins (Pastor and Chairman), Mr. Andrew Miles (Deacon and Treasurer), Mrs. Nesta Jones (past church member of (Noddfa Evangelical Church).
Structure and Governance
The church is constituted by the Governing Document comprising Part 1: Church Rules and Part 2: Constitution. This document was adopted by the members of Noddfa Evangelical Church at a meeting of the members held on 26" January, 2012 at the church.
The charity trustees are appointed by the church members according to procedures set out in Part 2: Constitution and they are responsible for the governance of the church, subject to any specific or general directions made at the Church Members Meeting
Objectives
The principal object of the charity is the advancement of the Christian faith according to the principals of the Church and in accordance with the Basis of Faith as stated in Schedule 1 of Part 2: Constitution. The charity may also advance education and carry out other charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and/or other parts of the world.
Activities
During the year the church objectives were achieved through the following ‘public’ activities:

e Worship services on Sunday mornings with Sunday School for children.

e Worship services on Sunday evening sometimes at Noddfa Evangelical church and occasionally joining with a neighbouring church.

e Celebration of The Lord’s Supper on a monthly basis following a Sunday morning service.

e Mid-weekly Bible Study and Prayer Meeting on Wednesday evenings (open to all). e Weekly toddler group for children, parents and guardians of pre-school children. e Coffee morning on Fridays

e Bi-monthly craft evenings. e Annual Sunday tea followed by a gospel service. e Special baptismal, funeral or marriage services.

e Special services to commemorate Christmas, Easter and Harvest.

e Special service for Christmas Shoe box appeal. e Hosting of regional events run by e.g. The Christian Institute, Samaritan’s Purse
Other activities include:-

e Pastoral care and support given to church members and non-members.

e Occasional ‘social’ events throughout the year: BBQ’s, Easter Tea, Men’s Breakfast, Ladies Dinner, Harvest Supper.
Persons working with children have been subject to DBS checks.
Achievements
The gospel of God was regularly preached on Sundays and people were encouraged to turn from their sin and be reconciled with God through then Lord Jesus Christ and to live godly lives.
The church continued to work with Penyrheol Church and congregations periodically joined for worship and resources and costs were shared.
During the year many members and public attended the various services and were welcomed to many of the public events.
The church provided friendship and some practical support to various people in need of help.
The church ran a regular drop-in coffee morning open to all where tea coffee and biscuits were provided free of charge.
Noah’s Ark Toddler group provided a venue for parents and guardians to bring along children to play and socialise and listen to stories.
Financial review
Receipts for the year totalled £29830.85 Payments for the year totalled £32922.31
Deficit/surplus
£-3091.46
There were no major repairs required this year although utility running costs had increased.
The church has no written reserves policy but aims to hold an amount equivalent to 3 months payments as a financial reserves.
The church owns it’s own church building and attached vestry.
