General & Trustees
Noddfa Evangelical Church, Pontarddulais. is an independent evangelical church situated in
Pontarddulais in the county of Swansea. and is registered as a charity in England and Wale5,
No. 1146934.
The Church Officers are the Charlty Trustees. The Trustees for the 2022-2023 financial
period were Mr. Eifion Perkins (Pastor and Chairman), Mr. Andrew Mile5 (Deacon and
Treasurer}. Mrs. Nesta Jones (past member of Noddfa Evangelical Church).
Strntture and Governance
The church 15 constituted by the Goveming Document compristng Part I: Church Rules and
Part 2: Constitution. This document was adopted by the members of Noddfrd Evangelical
Church at a meeting of the members held on 26thJanuary. 2012 atthe church.
The charty trustees are appointed bythe church members according to procedures set out
in Part 2: Constttution and they are responsible for the govemance of the church, subject to
any specific or general directions made at the Church Members Meeting
Objertlves
The principal object of the charFty is the adVan￿rnent of the Christian faith according to the
principals of the Church and in accordance with the Basis of Faith as stated in Schedule l of
Part 2: Constitution. The charity may also advance education and carry out other charitable
purposes in the United Kingdom andlor other parts of the world.
Actlvltles
During the year the church objectNes were achieved through the following 'public'
activities:
Worship serVi￿S on Sunday mornings with Sunday School for children.
Worship services on Sunday evening at Noddfa Evangelical church.
Celebration of The Lord's Supper on a monthly basis following a Sunday morning
service.
Mid-weekly Bible Study and Prayer Meeting on Wednesday evenings {open to all).
Weekly tr)ddler group for children, parents and guardians of pre-school children.
Annual Sunday tea followed by a gospel service.
Speaal baptismal, funeral or marriage Servi￿5.

Special seryices to commemorate Christmas, Easter and Harvest.
Special service for Christmas Shoe l)ox appeal.
Hosting of regional events run by e.8. The Christian Institute, Samaritan's Purse
Other activities include".-
Pastoral care and support given to church members and non-members.
Occasional 'social' events throughout the year: BBQ'S, Easter Tea. Men's Breakfast.
Ladies Dinner, Harvest Supper.
Persons working with children have been subject to DBS checks.
Achievements
The gospel of God was regularly preached on Sundays and people were encouraged to turn
from their sin and be reconciled with God through then Lord Jesus Christ and to live godly
lives.
Duringthe year many members and public attended the various services and were
welcomed to many of the public events.
The chvrch provlded friendship and some practical support to variou5 people in need of
help.
Noah's Ark Toddler group provided a venue for parents and guardians to bring along
children to play and socialise and listen to stories.

The church has no written reserves policy but aims to hold an amount equivalent to 3

The church owns the church building and attached vestry.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Noddfa Evangelical Church,
Pontarddulais for the year ended April 2023
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 20111'the ACY).
I report in respect of my examination of Noddfa Evangelical Church, Pontarddulais's
accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I
have followed all the applicable directions given by the Charity Commission under section
14515llb) of the Act.
Independent examinerfs statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my
attention in connection wtth the exarnination giving me cause to believe that in any material
respect-
l. Accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130
of the Act. or
2. The accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the
examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper
understandingof the accounts to be reached.
